In the second, you create your own mind-numbingly amazing force of nature and apply it at will.

Stories must be at least 1500 words. The challenge runs from 15 April 2016 to 30 June 2016. You have that long to complete and submit your story to the appropriate collection in order to be considered for the drawing.

Every story submitted will be counted as one entry into the drawing. Two winners will be chosen at random the end of the entry period. Multiple entries are allowed; if you want to Sharknado every fandom you've ever been in, we salute and welcome you, friend.

Feel free to use this post as a place to brainstorm or chat about your stories, or to throw out ideas for others who might want to run with them. Go forth and Sharknado! Or Tarantusoon. Or Zombcano... you get the point.

Hey, so, I send out holiday cards every year. I love doing it, I don't expect anything back in return, and I want to send you one. Yes, you. Whoever you are. We don't have to be mutuals, you don't have to follow me at all. We might never have even spoken. You might be browsing tags at random and just chance upon this. I just enjoy sending cards out, so if you're seeing this, chances are 100% good that I want to send you a card!

I'll send anywhere in the world, so don't shy away on that account. I default to Christmas cards, but if you'd prefer a Hanukkah card, or a generic "happy holidays" or "nice winter we're having here" card, or something else, that's totally fine. Just let me know.

If you want a card, email me: somehowunbroken@gmail.com. If you want to send me a card too (TOTALLY NOT REQUIRED), let me know in the email and I'll send you my address. I'm US-based, so if you want to send me a card, keep that in mind :)

HOLIDAYS, THEY ARE UPON US, I AM THRILLED. Let me send you a card to celebrate. :D

This was originally posted here, where it has comments.
Hi! Thanks so much for writing for me - I'm excited to see what you come up with :)

Things I like: pretty much all of the really tropey tropes, but especially the fake dating/fake married one. Found families. Slice of Life. I love angst and happy fic equally. I like kidfic if that's the direction you want to go but it's by no means required. I love AUs and canon-compliant fic equally. Pretty much if it's not a dislike it's something I'll enjoy.
Dislikes: noncon/dubcon (if you're not sure if what you're writing is non or dubcon, please skip it). Power play within relationships. There are a few fandom-specific ones that I'll talk about below.

Request 1: Batgirl (Comics)
Renee Montoya, Kate Kane, Cassandra Cain

I would love fic about any of these ladies! mMy dream come true for this fandom would be to have Kate/Renee and Cass talking to them (about relationships? about crimefighting? WHO KNOWS) but anything you want to do involving any combination of these three (or just one of them!) would be amazing. I'd also love fic about any combination of these ladies, or a piece about any of them on their own. Please don't include Joker-related stuff, even as a mention.

Request 2: Captain America (Comics)
Sarah Rogers

Sarah. Sarah and her baby, Sarah and her job, Sarah and anything. There needs to be more Sarah Rogers fic in the world. I am totally okay with you breaking my heart if that's how the spirit moves you, but I'd also love happy stuff with them. Anything Sarah, basically.

Request 3: Demon Knights
OH GOD anything. Anything. If you write me something Demon Knights related I will be so happy. I love everything about this comic. I love all of the characters, any ship you can come up with, any storyline. Gen is great too. If you want to write about one of the characters that wasn't listed in the tags here I'm totally fine with that too.

Request 4: Rat Queens
Anything. Adventuring, hanging out in town, shipping, gen, anything. Rat Queens, okay, that's it. I love Dee and Hannah the best, but it's only by a very little bit. Sawyer is also excellent. And the Daves. Gary as comic relief is great too. Like I said, anything goes here.

Request 5: X-Factor (Comics)
Shatterstar, Julio Richter
These two. Just. Please. I love them, okay, and their whole entire team. I would love a glimpse at them at any point, or an exploration of what they're doing after the end of volume 3, or an AU, or anything. They're really great.

Request 6: Forever (TV)
Henry Morgan, Abraham, Abigail

I really, really want something that explores their familial relationship and how it has evolved over time. I know that could get long and involved, so if you'd rather just do something shorter, that's fine too! I'd also love something that looks into the past, so a snapshot of Abe growing up would be fun too.

If you're struck by some sort of idea that doesn't really fit with what I blabbed about, that's totally fine! Those are just ideas in case you want somewhere to work from. If you have something in mind for one of the fandoms, I'm sure I'll love it as long as it doesn't fall into the dislikes category. Thanks so much for writing for me, and happy Yuletide to you!

I didn’t expect the story to develop quite how it did, but I definitely accomplished what I wanted to here. By and large, I mashed Bat-canons together at will, because trying to figure out where Batman Incorporated fits into Gotham at large is a headache for someone much more devoted to canon than I.

Title is from Without Mythologies by The Weakerthans, which is one of the Robin-est songs I’ve ever heard, no matter who’s filling the short pants at the time.

If you’d like more specific warnings, or more info on what exactly is spoiled, message me!
Dear Ladystuck letter!
Dear Ladystuck fanworker,

Hi there! Let me start by saying that I will love either fic or art for any of these. Some of them probably sound more like fic requests, but that’s only because I’m a writer myself, and wouldn’t know how to properly word a request for art. If you’re an artist, though, feel free to interpret any of these as you will – I’m sure I’ll love it!

Request 1
Alpha Jade Harley
I love the idea of Nanna Jade being exactly as awesome as young Jade shows us she could be. I'd love to hear things about her backstory!

Nanna Jade was clearly tough as nails, and I would love to hear more about her. How did she get involved in fighting against the Condesce? What were her plans? How did little Jake fit into her life? Really, anything about Jade being amazing and badass would be great :)

Request 2
Latula Pyrope, Terezi Pyrope
I'd love some Latula and Terezi interaction! Really, I'd enjoy anything from them hanging out to something NSFW. I just want to see them together :) Please no dub-con or non-con.

I will love anything with these two in it, I promise. If you want to do canon-ish shenanigans, or something completely AU, or something off the wall, or them bonding over making fun of various Vantases they have known, I will adore it. If you want to make them friends, that’s awesome! If you’re leaning towards making it angsty, bring on the pain! It can be shippy or not – whatever strikes your fancy :)

Request 3
Aradia Megido
Anything Aradia would be great, but if you'd like to investigate the differences between ghost/robo-Aradia and alive again-Aradia, I would certainly love it :)

I also like adventures with Aradia, or the idea of all the poor doomed robo-Aradias having some sort of interaction.

Request 4
Terezi Pyrope
If you’re in the mood to for an AU, I'd love Terezi as a legislacerator. Any type or setting would be great - a no-Sgrub verse, or a post-Sgrub world, or some sort of combination of humans and trolls, or really anything!

Let me just sigh a little about how awesome Terezi is, okay? I adore her, and her interactions with both the other trolls and the humans are some of my favorite things to reread. I’d love to see her getting her biggest pre-Sgrub wish fulfilled. It could go any way you want – it could be everything she’s dreamed of, it could go horribly awry, it could bore her to tears in its reality. I’d just love to see it!

...though if you have something else that’s Terezi-centric that you want to write, I’ll love that, too. Seriously. I just love her so much.

In general, I like... quite a lot of things! Fluff, angst, schmoop, humor, AU, canon-oriented things, it’s all good in my book. I enjoy pretty much ALL of the tropes, so if you’re struck with inspiration for suddenly-acquired-a-wriggler Terezi fic, or somehow-magically-telepathic Aradia, I’ll adore it. I’m fine with explicit material (as a focus, or as just a part of a larger story) except in cases of dub-con or non-con. I’m not a fan of D/s play or BDSM, because they often deal with power play and lead into issues of consent, but other than that, I’m pretty much up for anything if you’re feeling like creating something kinky!

I like that Homestuck gives us a lot of different options. There’s a lot of the past that can be explored; there are the futures that the kids all thought they’d have but clearly won’t now; there are limitless possibilities for the future, once they get the new universe(s) set up and get things going. The characters are all defined really boldly, and seeing them interact with each other is great. I’m really into character-driven things, and while the plot is definitely not completely about the characters, it really does depend on them and what they do and how they interact. I’ve just fallen in love with Homestuck in general, really :)

Finally, please have fun! Don’t worry about sticking to the very letter of one of my requests if that’s not what you’re feeling inspired to do. As long as it has some resemblance to what I asked for, I will adore it, I guarantee you that.

I hope that you get a gift that’s as amazing as the one you’re making for me!

-somehowunbroken
