The Settlement Layer
for the Modular Future

A high-performance L1 blockchain purpose-built for rollup settlement, smart accounts, and intent-driven execution.

What is Solen

Solen is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain built for rollup settlement, smart accounts, and intent-driven execution. Sub-second finality, fractions-of-a-cent fees, and a programmable account model that makes self-custody safer.

Rollup Settlement

Native support for optimistic and ZK rollup batch commitments, proof verification, and cross-domain bridging — all at the protocol level.

Smart Accounts

Every account is a smart account — with programmable authentication, social recovery, spending policies, and session keys built in.

Intent Execution

Declare what you want, not how. Solvers and bundlers compete to fulfill intents with optimal execution and MEV protection.

High Throughput

Parallel transaction execution and optimized consensus deliver the performance rollups demand from their settlement layer.

Validator Security

Proof-of-stake consensus with epoch-based rotation, slashing for misbehavior, and transparent reward distribution.

Developer First

Comprehensive RPC API, TypeScript wallet SDK, devnet tooling, and a built-in block explorer to get building fast.

Why Solen

Solen is the only L1 that combines native smart accounts, protocol-level intents, and native rollup settlement on a deterministic WASM VM. Other chains pick one or two of these — Solen builds on all of them.

Solen Ethereum Solana Cosmos Aptos
Smart accounts Native, by default Opt-in (ERC-4337) Not native Not native Native (resource accts)
Intent execution Built into protocol App-level (CowSwap, UniswapX) None None None
Rollup support Native settlement primitive External L2 ecosystem Monolithic, no rollups App-chain model (IBC) Monolithic, no rollups
Virtual machine Deterministic WASM EVM bytecode Sealevel / SBF CosmWasm or custom Move VM
Finality Single-slot BFT (<1s) ~13 min (Casper FFG) Optimistic (~12s) Single-block (Tendermint) Single-slot BFT (<1s)
Account model 32-byte, smart by default 20-byte EOA + contracts Program / data accounts 20-byte (cosmos1...) 32-byte resource accts
Governance On-chain by default Off-chain (foundation) Foundation-led On-chain (per chain) On-chain

Comparison reflects each chain's default protocol behavior at the L1 level. App-level workarounds and proposed standards are not counted.

Architecture

A modular Rust stack: rollups and app chains run their own logic and settle proofs to a unified L1 that handles consensus, smart accounts, intents, and bridging. Data availability is verifiable on-chain or via external DA layers.

FAQ

Common questions about Solen.

What is Solen?

Solen is a Layer 1 blockchain built for rollup settlement, smart accounts, and intent-driven execution. It uses BFT proof-of-stake consensus with single-slot finality and a deterministic WASM virtual machine.

How is Solen different from Ethereum?

Solen ships modern primitives — smart accounts, intents, native rollups — as protocol-level features instead of bolt-on standards. It also has sub-second finality (vs. Ethereum's ~13 minutes) and fees measured in fractions of a cent.

How is Solen different from Solana?

Solen is modular by design: rollups and app chains run their own logic and settle to a unified L1. Solana is monolithic. Solen also has native smart accounts and a built-in intent engine, neither of which Solana provides at the protocol level.

Where can I buy SOLEN?

wSOLEN trades on Uniswap on Base, and native SOLEN trades on Qutrade. See the Ecosystem section below for direct links.

How do I run a validator?

See the validator setup guide in the docs at docs.solenchain.io.

Staking

Validators earn epoch rewards from a 500M pool distributed over 10 years. Delegators share rewards proportional to stake. 7-epoch unbonding period.

Fee Burn

50% of all transaction fees are burned permanently, creating deflationary pressure. At high volume, burns can exceed reward issuance.

Governance

Staked token holders vote on protocol parameters with 66.67% supermajority. 30% quorum required. Total supply cap requires a hard fork.

Vesting & Unlock Schedule

All allocations are subject to on-chain vesting locks enforced by the protocol. Tokens are released gradually to ensure long-term alignment.

Foundation Treasury 400M (20%) 6 months 4 years linear 0%

Only ~130M SOLEN (~6.5%) is circulating at mainnet launch. All other tokens are locked in on-chain vesting contracts.

Staking

Two ways to earn validator rewards on Solen — pick the model that fits your style.

Validator Delegation

Delegate SOLEN directly to the validator of your choice. Native, simple, no wrapper token.

  • Pick the specific validator you back
  • Rewards auto-credit at each epoch boundary
  • Validator commission set per-operator
  • 7-epoch unbonding window on unstake

Best for users who want direct control over which validator they support, or who run their own validator and want to self-stake.

How delegation works →

Liquid Staking stSOLEN

Deposit SOLEN, receive stSOLEN — a transferable receipt token whose value grows as the pool earns rewards. Stay liquid while you stake.

  • Round-robin delegation across 11 genesis validators
  • Rewards compound automatically into the rate
  • 10% protocol fee — 90% goes to stakers
  • stSOLEN is a standard SRC-20 — transfer it, hold it, use it in DeFi
  • 7-epoch unbonding queue on unstake

Best for users who want yield without picking validators, or who want their staked position to remain transferable and composable.

Run a Validator Advanced

Operate a Solen node, sign blocks, and earn the full validator share of rewards plus delegator commission. Highest yield potential, highest commitment.

500,000 SOLEN minimum self-stake
10% default commission (configurable)
24/7 node uptime expected
Slashing risk 10% double-sign · 1% downtime · 5% bad state root
  • Earn validator + commission share of rewards
  • Set your own commission rate (in basis points)
  • Run on commodity hardware — small Linux box, decent network
  • Full setup + ops guide in the docs

Best for operators with the SOLEN to self-stake, the ops appetite to keep a node up around the clock, and the willingness to take on slashing risk for the highest yield.
