Hello all my lovely friends!

I just wanted to announce that we have a new fest for all of you to enjoy. Thanks to the hard and tireless efforts of valady, uniquepov, kitty_fic, and deirdre_aithne (who also created the incredible banners and icons you now see), we are now ready to announce the beginning of Threesome Big Bang!

You all know how much I love HP threesomes, so I'm really, truly excited to tell you all about this. It's all part of hp_3forfun and we need as much support from everyone as possible! Please let your friends know; take a banner and pimp like crazy! There is nothing more fun than the #3!! lol.

First Post Of The New Years!

I am so HAPPY to finally say IT'S OVER!!!!!! OMG!!! THANK YOU!! I didn't think the torture would ever end! Maybe now, people will calm down and act human again --- that might be asking too much, but I'm praying all the same.

That said, I want to share something with you guys, something that totally makes up for the hair-pulling holidays.

msvelvela was generous, brilliant and amazing enough to create me something that I am squishing repeatedly in a mad sort of manner! The Road to Sin! Enjoy, comment and bow to the sexiness that is Lucius!

I also hope everyone else had a good New Years start off! I hope you woke up next to someone you knew and remember at least a small portion of what happened the night before. I also hope you all wrote your New Years Resolutions. I did and here it is:

1) I will do something crazy this year, something that will surprise even me.

2) I will learn to forgive people more easily, even if they don't deserve it.

3) I will laugh more, even when I have nothing to laugh about.

4) I will never stop being sarcastic, but I will try a little harder not to be as cutting (even if the other person is being a total tool)

5) I will be less serious.

6) I will write more, procrastinate less (I really need to paint that upstairs room... clean and organize the library... sort out the attic...)

7) I will message my online friends more.

8) I will say something nice about a person I despise.

9) I will reorganize and remove all the unnecessary, harmful/negative things from my life.

10) I will control my path.

I know people say the older you get, the less birthdays matter, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I don't get excited by the prospect of a surprise or two, yet in the same breath, I never expect anyone to ever remember my birthday. It falls on such an awkward time of the year that people are always too busy with the hustle and bustle of the season, with friends and family and gift wrapping and cooking and cleaning and... well, you guys get what I mean, and I'll admit, being born on Christmas was NOT my idea. I had no idea what a suck it would be when I forced myself into this world in the dead of night, or I might have waited another month (A January birthday sounds nice. lol) but it's hard to feel that way when I get so many well wishes from such amazing friends!

Saying I'm furious is an understatement. I think I reached furious after the first website I found with my story posted without my permission. I went beyond it after the second and third and really hit the roof when I found a site that had my story posted in a whole other language.

Like any author, I love that my stories are enjoyed and people want to pimp them out. It's flattering and welcomed wholeheartedly. What isn't welcomed is when people don't ask permission first before taking my story and translating them in a different language without asking me first. I've allowed it in the past, but that doesn't mean I will now, or I might have. All this person had to do was ask me first, but they didn't. Instead, I find out that they rewrote my entire story in Russian without a single word to me. I wrote the story as a gift for valady. They even have the banner I made posted there and everything! I tried to leave them a comment to take the story down. but I don't understand Russian, so I don't know if I did it properly. The story can be found here: Maskarada if anyone knows how to work the damn site.

Yes, my name is given and a link is posted to the English version of my story, but that isn't the case here.

Also, I found several people who took my story and re-posted them to their websites or blogs. Again, names and links were given, but why wasn't I asked first? You clearly know where to find me. I'm not a hard person to get into contact with, so what was stopping these people from taking two seconds to ask me if they had any right to take such liberates?

It's a sad thing that now I will need to put on every one of my stories: Do NOT take my stories without asking. Do NOT re-write my stories into a different language! Do NOT take anything, use anything without my permission!

I mean, come on, people! This is common sense stuff!! DON'T TAKE WITHOUT ASKING!

Am I overreacting? Am I getting upset over nothing? Someone please tell me, because I just can't shake how enraged I am right now.

Edit: I just learned that it's not Russian. My apologizes. It's actually in polish.

Pimping & Some Serious News

Hello all!

I would like to pimp two fantastic stories first, both written for me.

The first was a request I made from the wonderful starstruck1986 for writing me Cigarette and Cinnamon Ruins an amazing and sexy Charlie/Bill fic! That I absolutely loved and recommend strongly if you want something beautifully written and breathtakingly emotional.

The second was written for me by aleysiasnape for the hermione_smut challenge. The story --- a mixture of comedy and steamy smut --- is called Guilty Pleasure. It's a Rodolphus/Hermione fic.

I hope my amazing F-list will take the time to read both (and review) I know you won't be disappointed! Thank you both starstruck1986 and aleysiasnape for taking the time to write me something so amazing and cherishing. You're both amazing and so talented! *hugs*

This might come as a surprise to some of you, but after some serious deliberation, I've decided to take a break from fanfiction writing. It's not that my Muse isn't cooperating or that I'm bored with the fandom. Both are quite possibly the furthest thing from the truth. I just think it's time that I concentrate on my Original Stories which hasn't been neglected but need more of my focus right now. But rest assured that this decision will in no way affect my other responsibilities such as modding at hp_3forfun or thegoldenseeker rec letter. I will still continue posting on lj and talk to all of my amazing and wonderful friends here. I will also continue posting the stories I have saved that are already finished and beta'd (which is quite a bit)so you'll still see a lot of me in the future. Also, those of you who have requested stories from me will get the stories you requested so have no fears on that front, but I will no longer be taking requests or writing anything new thereafter.

I can't say with absolute certainty that this decision will last forever. It's not written in stone, but I will promise that I will keep you all informed with any other changes that might take place or if I decide to come back.

I just want to take a minute to thank the lovely ladies who have stood by me and supported me throughout my run: valady, uniquepov, rivertempest, sirsevchick and battle_of_lissa for their constant shoulders, ears and eyes. Without this fantastic five, I would never have posted a single thing. You ladies deserve the world on a gold platter. Seriously. I don't know what I would have done without your unwavering friendship. *tight hugs*

I would also like to thank everyone else. You have all been far and beyond what I ever expected to find when joining the fandom. I know I will never regret my time here when I have made friends with some of the most brilliant and talented group of ladies. I don't think I can describe just how much you all mean to me! Thank you all so much for understanding and hopefully supporting me on this. You guys have been so amazing and so thoughtful. I'm feel so blessed to have so many invaluable friends. *hugs*

I'm still reeling from the fact. I've never won anything in my life let alone come first place, but when uniquepov and rivertempest emailed me last night and tell me that my story Masked Lover won first place at the dramione_awards... I can't even wrap my head around it. It's such an honor, especially since I'm not a Dramione writer. But I know that this privilege would never have happened without votes from so many amazing friends and readers. You guys never fail to astound me with your generosity and kindness. Thank you all so much for being such a support and making my experience in this fandom one I will never forget.

Summary: This will have to be a bit dark, a bit angsty. But after they were captured in the Department of Mystery, Hermione finds herself drawn to a certain Death Eater, but why? Does it have anything to do with the spell he threw at her when no one was looking? Why does she suddenly want him, need him like she's never needed anyone or anything in her life?

Author/Artist Notes: I can see this being very dark, but you can make it anyway you wish! Just let me know if you decide to take it! And I would love to read it once it's complete!

It's that time of year again, when we sit around a table with the people we love --- or not so much --- and list all the things we're thankful for like family, friends, a home, clothes... fanfiction. lol. This year, I made a list of all the things I'm thankful for. It's much longer on paper then it is when I think about them one-by-one and that makes me thankful.The kids are healthy, they have clothes on their backs, food in their bellies and a roof over their heads. They're well-behaved, smart and the best accomplishment I've ever made. They have a sense of humor and know when to be serious. They stand up for what they believe in and know their manners. I have a man who can try my patience more than the kids, but has a good heart. He's kind and generous when it counts most and he knows me enough that I don't need to constantly explain myself. He shares my sense of humor which is possibly the biggest problem I have when people meet me for the first time. My sarcasm can be daunting and unusual at times. But he understands it and he can always (almost always) match it. I also have friends I can count on. Growing up as the sullen girl who sat in the far corner of the library reading all day, it's refreshing to have people who enjoy the same things I do. These are just a few of the things I'm thankful most.

Now, I know most of my F-list is not Canadian, but I'd love to hear what you guys are thankful for in your lives. If you're willing to share! :)
