Flash 3x11 - Cisco & HR

I've been re-watching some s3 scenes of HR & Cisco for reasons. HR desperately wanting to belong but feeling like he can't measure up to the other Harrison Wells-es has been giving me lots of feelings. (Please don't make him evil, Show.) I feel like this is leading to him doing something stupid and/or sacrificial in the finale, though.

I, of course, loved the inter-dimensional Cisco/Gypsy duel in 3x11. But I also love the couple of quieter Cisco/HR moments we got. Or, really they were more like moments of Cisco/Memories Of Other Harrison Wells.

ION, EARTH-2 HARRY IS BACK THIS WEEK YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. LET'S GO RESCUE HARRY YESSS.

Dear Equinox vidder,

Thank you for making me a vid!

I honestly don't have many super strong character hates or squicks when it comes to vids, so this will be a short letter of mainly squee. Basically, I'll just list my favorite characters and/or pairings for each. I am good with serious, funny, femslash, maleslash, het, heros, villains. All good.

As always, these are just suggestions, so feel free to go your own way.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)

Baze/Chirrut. BAZE X CHIRRUT. Baze ❤️ Chirrut.

Ok, on the off chance you don't want to make a Baze/Chirrut vid...I pretty much loved everything about this movie. Jyn Ero, Cassian, Bohdi Rook, K-2SO, Galen Erso. Jyn/Cassian. Bodhi/Everything. Cassian/K-2SO (Is this a for real pairing? because I just realized it should be.)

Moon (2009)

One of my all time favorite space / stranded alone films. And the reveal is one of my favorite tropes ever. I just...gah, so amazing.

Alien Series

Ripley being amazing. Aliens wreaking havoc. Feel free to use any of the movies, including Aliens vs Predator or Prometheus. Oh, and I totally shipped Ripley/Hicks in Aliens.

Farscape

Crichton/Scorpius or Crichton/Stark = YESSS. My favorite fucked up pairings. Seriously, the Scoripus & Crichton storyline is what drew me into this show in the first place. Also love Aeryn/Crichton, of course.

I adore Aeryn Sun. Also love Chiana and Zhaan. Chiana/Jool is also good.

This show is also just really pretty, so a general/overview vid would also be good.

Space: Above and Beyond

Vansen, Wang, Hawkes, & McQueen are my favorites.

I would LOVE a vid about Wang struggling with the Silicates and torture storyline, or Wang/Damphouse. A Vansen character study would also be A+. I love the relationship between Hawkes/McQueen, so that would be amazing. An ensemble vid with all of them would also be great. Or about the different groups: Silicates, In Vitroes, Chigs, etc.

Stargate Universe

I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS BAR. Seriously, I loved this show.

Some really beautiful camera shots & editing. I pretty much found every single character, if not always likable, then definitely interesting. My favorites were Wray (💜Ming-Na Wen💜), TJ, Scott, Eli, Chloe, Greer, & even Rush in his eternal fucked-up ness. (So, I guess that's everyone except Young, oops.) And any pairing (love or hate) combination therein. (There was also a lady pirate that had mad chemistry with Wray in s1 finale/s2 opener.)

My least favorite option would be a TJ/Young vid or a Scott/Chloe/Eli love triangle. Those would not be my first choice. At all. Other than that, go wild! I WANT TO WATCH A MILLION SGU VIDS.

Stargate Atlantis

I would love a Ronon/Sheppard, Ronon/McKay or Ronon/Teyla vid. Or a Teyla/McKay friendship vid. or Sam/McKay. IDK, I love them all. A character study of Ronon, Weir, Teyla, or Keller would also be great.

Even though I love them, I would really rather not get a McShep vid -- only because there are already so many great ones out there. Same with Sheppard/Weir or Teyla/Sheppard. However, I do like all 3 of these pairings, so if that's where your muse is telling you to go, go for it.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

I ALSO LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS BAR TOO. Favorite characters are Jadzia Dax and Elim Garak. Also love Kira, Sisko, Weyoun, Odo. Garak/Bashir, Jadzia/Kira, Jadzia/Worf, Odo/Quark = A+

One of my favorite things about The Flash is that Tom Cavanagh gets to play a different version of his character every season from different dimensions (and sometimes multiple versions within the same season). A+ trend, keep it going please! From homicidal, evil mastermind to anti-social, but grudgingly good-hearted genius to embarrassing cinnamon roll who wants to please everyone. (Please Show, bring back Earth-2 Harry to be forced to work with Earth-19 HR because that would be hilarious.) One of my OTHER favorite things about this situation is seeing how Cisco has to navigate/re-assess his relationship and boundaries with each version. I mean, Earth-2 Harry/Cisco 4EVA, but Earth-19 HR has wormed his way in and grown on me. (Also, Cisco fought Earth-19 for ownership of HR, so as far as HR's Earth is concerned, Harrison Wells belongs to Cisco now. Officially. WHERE IS ALL THE FIC, PEOPLE??)

I should probably mention here that doppelgangers/clones and the issues of people around them is one of my die hard tropes. So, YMMV on interest obviously.

Anyway, back to the vid. Fabella does such a great job of Cisco's pov trying to reconcile all these confusing & conflicting feelings. He went from admiring hero-worship to being betrayed and terrified by to being a (bickering/flirting) equal to now being the one admired by this man with the same face. OH MY CISCO.

I love the way she uses a mirror/duplicate effect on some scenes to create 3 Wells (1:25, 2:01, 2:54). Such a simple yet genius commentary.

The juxtaposition of some "original" Harrison Wells and HR is especially effective, like at 1:07 when Gypsy reaches out toward Cisco while he's fighting for HR's life vs Wells reaching out to kill Cisco. Or, HR putting his hands out in friendly supplication/gratefulness gesture vs Wells putting his hand out to STAB IT THROUGH CISCO'S CHEST. (Like, yikes, I do not blame Cisco for having trust issues with this face.)

They must be waiting for you to move on

I also love at 1:40 when Cisco touches HR's shoulder to gently reassure him vs nervously touching Harry's shoulder in the same way to see if he's secretly evil.

TL;DR I love Cisco/Harry and I love Fabella's take on this pairing.

1. I am incredibly easy to please. It's embarrassing how easy. So, I won't have many guidelines here for that reason. The few preferences I list, as always, feel free to disregard.

2. Music, same issue. I have no hard & fast hates. My least favorite genres are probably twangy country and heavy metal (I know, I know, everyone says that), but even these...if it fits with your vision, go for it. My favorite genres are pop, singer/songwriter, 90s alternative rock, hip hop / rap. Again...probably too broad to be helpful, sorry. Don't worry about over-vidded songs. I honestly don't care if there are 50 other vids to that song out there. Instrumentals are also good.

3. I am good with femslash, male slash, het, and everything in between. I have no squicks that come to mind.

The Adventures of Brisco County Jr [TV]

A single season tv western from 1993 starring young, hot Bruce Campbell.

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium [Movie] *safety*

A magic toy store! Magic and toys! Charming, whimsical, fun visuals.

Queen Sugar [TV]

A video about the siblings would be wonderful. My favorite character is Nova. (I have a huge crush on Rutina Wesley.) This show has great cinematography. Very pretty!

Sinister movie series (2012-2015) [Movie]

I love that he goes from minor character with no name to main character (with no name). He just wants to save people with sincerity!

The use of film, editing, and creating art within the movie could make for an interesting vid idea.
