Job Search Tip 111: Inclusive Benefits/Policies?
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Identify your present and future needs and see if they are covered in the plan or by policy. Be direct with HR if you have questions. In some situations, benefits can be more important than compensation.
Let me know if you have any LGBTQIA+ related job searching questions. My goal is to have a LGBTQIA+ focused tip each week in the month of June. I cannot help with employment related questions because that dips into employment law and I am not an attorney.
Job coaching slots are open!!! Drop me a message if you are interested.

Edwin, an anthropomorphic jackrabbit, is wearing a business casual outfit and has a grumpy expression on his face. He gives job searching tips by speaking directly to the reader using a dialogue bubble. Edwin says,
"Read through the benefits plan and company policies. How do they align to your needs? For example, will the plan cover gender-affirming therapies or surgery? Will the company support days off for recovery? These questions matter most for companies with less than 50 employees, who are often exempt from Fed/State laws."
