Into The Stars

Chapter Seven

By Roofles

“Hit me…" Juke took the card passed to him from across the table in the middle of the night on the ship.

“I'll raise." Isaac rested back against the spacewolf lounging out behind him on the floor. The two couldn't decide on seating and ended up just doing this instead.

“I'll see your raise and," Samson tossed a few more chips into the middle of the table. “Call."

“Pair of twelves." Juke showed off the cards.

“Triple squares." Isaac tossed his cards onto the table.

“Fool's suit." Samson smugly said.

“Royal Fool's suit." Sphinx jumped in as the three looked at him. “What? I'm totally not cheating." Isaac frowned at that. “Fine, this game is dumb anyways!" The hologram tossed his holographic cards onto the table in front of them as he pouted.

“Gold fish!" Typhon jumped in tossing all his cards onto the table. The others just looked at him.

“How do you even have that many cards…" Juke lifted his hat up looking at them.

“Are you hoarding cards again?" Isaac shook the spacewolf. Typhon turned his muzzle away as Isaac tried to pry it open. “No! Bad Typhon, bad! No eating cards!" The Terran got up trying to stop the spacewolf as the others just rolled their eyes deciding to call it for the night.

With their newest member of the crew, Sphinx, on board they at least had an estimate to when they would be arriving at Tigeron. Sphinx wasn't able to hack into the computer as Isaac could but his intelligence was unmatched on the ship. It was just getting him to cooperate that was the problem.

Isaac, along with Samson, had gone over the cube from back to front to make sure Sphinx couldn't pull a fast one over them after what he'd done the previous month. The clear cube glowed with a strange light, pulsing as if alive; though the glass was stained and it was impossible to see exactly what was inside.

“We'll just disconnect the cube if he acts up again." Samson nodded after the two decided how to fix their little AI problem.

“He? It's an AI…" Isaac wanted to start up but folded before he could. “Ok, well HE is kind of a dick." Isaac wasn't about to get into another argument about gender pronouns with the Ursa.

“Just going through those teen years…" Samson grumbled as he helped Isaac pick the surprisingly heavy cube up and placed it on the center table the previous day.

“How long does an AI go through their teen years…?" Isaac was afraid to hear the answer. Samson just gave him a look before shaking his head sadly. “Fudge…" The Terran groaned as they plugged Sphinx's cube into the table in the center of the room.

The screen lit up as the middle of the table opened and the cube was taken in by it.

“You sure this is a wise idea?" Isaac frowned watching the table seal up in front of them. According to Samson it was a security slot within the ship that others wouldn't be able to scan; it was the safest place to keep the rogue AI for the time being. Smugglers had similar compartments making Isaac question what the purpose of this ship was exactly used for.

“When we get to the planet would you rather have a stowaway or have the Tigeron authorities learn we have one of their AI cubes?" Samson just gave the Terran a look. “Plausible denial, kid."

“Fair point…" Isaac was forced to agree. They could just bluff their way out saying they knew nothing about the AI if it came down to that. It was Tigeron tech and, thus, their problem.

“Why don't we just shoot it into that sun!" Typhon pointed out the nearby star they were flying past.

“Typhon don't look directly at the sun!" Isaac threw his shoe at the saberwolf.

“We're not killing him!" Samson growled, arguing about it for the tenth time that day alone.

“They'd never find out." Juke just tried to reason out following a more logical viewpoint of this. Samson was getting emotional about them taking a life and Typhon was just happy to contribute. Isaac stayed out of it for the most part, though he did side with Samson.

As long as Sphinx wasn't dangerous, there was no harm in NOT shutting him down… permanently.

“We're the worse at this." Isaac groaned covering his face as the bear pat his back. “We're going to start an intergalactic war I just know it! My first real mission and… just… My family is going to be so pissed…"

Samson gave him a hug. The Ursa had his gloves back on covering his otherwise metallic hands. “There, there. I'm sure they'll be more disappointed in the fact ya' datin' that in here alien wolf boy." The bear tried to reassure him. Isaac face fell. He hadn't told any of them yet about the band or Typhon; who waved at him as the Terran glared over at the saberwolf.

The large, hulking canine with deep blue ever shifting fur with two massive saberfangs wasn't exactly something you brought home to dinner. The idea of introducing THAT to his family was beyond words. Typhon plopped down on his rear and began scratching behind his ear with a hind paw as if just to reassure Isaac point on the matter.

“You're not helping!" Isaac groaned covering his face and resting back against the Ursa.

“Do you need help with something?" Typhon's ears perked up as he strutted over like some kind of show dog, prancing along before sitting next to Isaac.

Isaac opened his mouth about to tell him off but couldn't bring himself too. Looking at that derpy face smiling back at him. It would be too cruel too. It wasn't Typhon's fault he was an oversized spacewolf from an unknown, unnamed galaxy far away that he was now banded too.

Isaac was just hoping not to start an intergalactic war at this point. Dealing with Typhon would have to come later. He already had a few thoughts in motion. All he could do was really sit and wait at this point.

“No. Everything's perfectly fine." Isaac sighed, shaking his head. Typhon gave him a look. “Really, just worried about the trip." At that, Typhon eased up and his dark tongue lulled back out as he panted happily. His hot breath washing over Isaac's face smelled like spearmint.

“Good, good." Typhon tail thumped loudly as the group headed over to play cards for the night.

Juke had won the “Bet" and was able to pick the game for that night. He chose cards. And was already regretting it.

They didn't have credits so they used caps, each with their own worth of points. That took thirty minutes for everyone to get settled and figure out. The seating arrange took another ten minutes; Isaac and Typhon arguing about Isaac sitting in the wolf's lap.

“It would be both convenient AND comfy!" Typhon insisted as if Isaac was being the unreasonable one here.

“More like embarrassing. I can sit here." Isaac didn't let up in front of the others. As if the two were playing tennis, the others just looked from one to the other as they had their little spat.

“Why is it such a big deal? You didn't mind last night!" Typhon huffed making the others ears perk up though they stayed out of their feud.

“Typhon! For fuck sake, shut up." Isaac covered his face.

“What? I don't see what the problem is. We slept together last night."

“Not in the way you're making it sound!" The Terran continued to insist as they argued in front of everyone. “Sleeping in the same bed is different than sleeping together with someone!" Isaac said in a hushed whisper. Everyone could clearly hear him still.

“How did you think I meant it?" Typhon tilted his head.

“That. Not. No. That wasn't the point!" Isaac flustered face grew even redder.

“Yeah, kid. How'd ya' think he meant it?" Juke just grinned at the flustered Terran trying to save face and only digging himself in deeper.

“According to my readings, you were sleeping on top of the Saber." Sphinx chimed in as unhelpful as ever, only making Isaac wish he could unplug the damned thing. Typhon had the right idea. Shoot the son of a bitch into the nearest star.

“On top? Here I 'n thought it'd be the other way around. What with the size n' all." Juke motioned with his finger as if trying to trade the two places with one another. Picturing the human mounting the saberwolf.

“No, not like that!" Isaac practically yelled.

“Isaac always sleeps on top of me." Typhon was confused over the matter looking between the other two.

“At least you had your clothes on." Samson offered.

“Uh…" Isaac couldn't answer that.

“Kid, really?" The Ursa groaned resting back as he crossed one leg over the other, giving Isaac the look only a father could to their disappointing child. “At least make him fight for it!"

“Fight for what?" Typhon asked as ignorant and innocent as ever.

“Nothing, Typhon." Isaac just took a seat at this point on the floor. The space wolf curled up behind him.

From there it was a matter of deciding on which game to play and the rules behind it. Teaching everyone several different games before deciding on one. Which left each person playing a different game by the end of the night.

“Uno." Isaac cheered.

“Gold fish." Typhon was still playing.

“Straight flush." Juke just frowned at the others.

“Blackjack." Samson said laying his hand down.

“I thought we were playing twenty one?" Sphinx popped back up to show the a two and a one next to each other. An actual two card and an ace, neither of which combined to twenty one.

“And I'm done." Juke tossed the cards on the table, kicking his feet up onto it and tapping his hat down planning to just call it a night.

“You said no feet on the table…" Typhon frowned, spitting out another card. Isaac gave him a look for that before patting him on the head.

“Yes because you're a good boy." The human smooshed his face a bit with a laugh.

“What about him then!" Typhon whined at Isaac, growling at the coyote.

“He's an old dog, can't learn new tricks." Isaac waved it off. “Could you grab me a drink?" Typhon got up and got head scratches for it. “See, good boy." Typhon wagged and headed off.

“The hell you teaching that boy?" Juke just asked watching the pair with disgust.

“How to be polite and courtesy." Isaac just smiled, though it quickly turned upside down getting a look from the other three. “What? My brothers used to make me do that all the time for them! No harm done."

“This is kind of different, you know that, right?" Samson frowned at the Terran. “You 'n he are sort of, ya' know?" The Ursa put his gloved hands together. “Ya' been told the honey n' the bear before, right?"

Isaac could only assume that was akin to the birds and the bees from where he was from.

“Look. Typhon's sweet. He's a great guy. Hell, he's like a younger brother to me!" Isaac just shrugged as he got up with a yawn and a stretch. The three winced at hearing the words. “I plan to figure things out on Tigeron. It's an ally to the Terran and I might be able to, you know." Isaac rolled his wrist without going on. “Anyways, I'm off to bed." He waved as he headed out leaving the others.

Isaac pat Typhon on the head as he walked by, thanking him for the water as he headed down the hallway towards the captain quarters. Typhon was about to follow when a pair of snapping fingers caught his attention.

“Hol' up there boy'yo." Juke kicked his legs up, sitting up with them as he caught Typhon's attention. “We need to chat…"

“What?" Typhon just frowned, growling under his breath. He didn't move over; not exactly liking the coyote during this trip. He tolerated the others for Isaac sake.

“He's far cuter when the Terran is around." Sphinx spoke up, the transparent avatar kicking back on the table with a game device in his hands.

“Trust me, ya' gonna want to come 'n here and hear this." Juke patted the seat next to him. “This is guy talk now."

“Should I get Isaac…?" Typhon looked back at where the human had headed off too, longing to follow after knowing Isaac was off to bed.

“No!" The other three said in unison.

“Sheesh, you're useless." Juke grumbled as the blue fur wolf walked on over to join them. He kept his distance eying each of them wearily. “Relax. We're here to help ya, kid."

“With…?" Typhon just continued to growl, suspicious of the coyote.

“See, we like ya'." Samson began. “You be a good guy. We just wonderin' what you n' that fell'a." Samson motioned after where Isaac had left. “Have goin' on…"

“N-nothing is going on between us!" Typhon ears splayed out, tail wagging as he looked away. The look that passed over the canines face told the other three precisely the opposite.

Juke exchanged a look with Samson before sitting up. “Look, see there'n the problem. We've been stuck in this damn tin can for way too long and ya' still haven't done nothin' yet with 'em yet." The Ursa started with.

“An' I think Isaac is getting the wrong idea about the two of you…" Juke rubbed the back of his neck. “Why ya like a furless thing like that anyway? Don't they got pretty things back where ya' from?"

Typhon frowned at that. “Isaac's different." The others just waited. “He's funny and smart. Super smart! He knows so many things… I can't even begin to understand half the things he talks about. And he's really like… soft and warm and I just…" Typhon shook his head. “What's this all about?"

“That's what I figured." Samson nodded.

“Told you." Juke offered a paw and Samson put a few caps in it as payment.

“Don't care." Sphinx chimed in only to roll his eyes.

“What?" Typhon growled again.

“You are head over tail infatuated wit' that boy!" Samson garuffed a laugh and shook his head. “Problem is, he not be seein' you the same way."

“What… what do you mean? We cuddle every night. I hang out with him all the time. We talk and exchange stories and…" Typhon began to stammer. “We've hung out for weeks now…"

“Ya' like a couple of gal pals." Juke just snorted. “Kid, ya' gotten friend zoned. Hard."

“I… don't know what that is." Typhon ears folded back figuring it was a bad thing.

“Oh, boy. Pull up a chair, grab a stiff drink. We got a long night ahead." Juke just groaned wishing they had drinks.

The night went on as such, the four of them going over the plan before retiring for the night.

On heavy lumbering steps, Typhon walked into the captain's quarters. It was a larger room than the bunkhouse or the engineering bay Samson had commandeered into his makeshift room. It had warm carpeted floor with high walls with low lights, a large bed and a closet case tucked into the corner near the private bathroom.

Isaac was already half asleep with his tablet resting on his chest. The Terran sat up a bit when the door opened, rubbing one eye as he placed the tablet to the side.

“Typhon?"

“Didn't mean to wake you…" Typhon came in, stripping down and locking the door with a push of a button. He dropped the jumper off in the slot near the wall; the hamper would wash both their clothes by the morning having them fresh and pressed for them waking up.

It was the main and sole reason why the two slept naked. The two of them each only having the one pair of clothing to wear.

Isaac just scooted over for him, turning his back and went to sleep once more. Even the smallest movement away affected the large canine watching. Typhon's ears lay back as he watched the Terran go back to sleep recalling what the others had told him that night.

“Got to win him over."

“He thinks of you only as a friend."

“Try something now and ya' going to get bitch slapped!"

Typhon wasn't sure what he was expecting as he sat back down on the bed; it creaked from his weight, shifting under him as he swung both legs up onto it and lay down. Typhon just faced towards the ceiling of their cabin, glancing over at Isaac.

What did the Terran want? The very thing Juke had asked him before heading to bed.

Typhon knew what he wanted. The band on Isaac's wrist was a wish come true for the lonely saberwolf. Typhon hadn't earned his place yet amongst the others; heading out alone during the trail to become an adult. This was the final step, sort of. Such a thing as returning a banded would earn the saberwolf the respect of the others, to be acknowledged as an adult finally. With several other benefits coming along with it…

The only benefits Typhon had wanted was to be able to be with the others. The runt of the litter didn't have the right to eat with the pack, to dog pile and sleep together or even to go on hunt trips. He'd been ostracized from his pack and had been planning to return with Isaac, to finish one of the trails in order to become an adult in the eyes of his peers and elders.

It would earn him respect.

Typhon had been the selfish one to ask Isaac to give up everything to be with him… The saberwolf planned on making it up to the Terran. To give Isaac everything he'd ever need and more. To never be alone like Typhon had grown up.

But was that what Isaac wanted…? That questioned lingered long into the night. And in the end Typhon only had one thought as the alarm went off and the two got up for the day.

That didn't matter.

Isaac belonged to him. Banded as he was, the Terran was the property of Saber and thus Typhon who would claim him as his companion. It was a vow he'd have to make in front of the entire pack he'd come from, underneath Aluna during the night ritual.

Something Typhon would proudly do.

It didn't mean the saberwolf couldn't try and grease the wheels a bit as he brought breakfast over a good hour later and sat down next to the Terran on the circular sofa in the middle of the living space. Typhon gave him a smile as Isaac rambled on about the proper procedures they'd need to take once they reached the planet.

“The tigers are full of themselves, got it." Juke just cut in, finishing what Isaac had been working on all that morning.

“It would be best if we didn't tell them that though." Isaac frowned lowering his tablet down. “Sphinx, if you could." The AI meowed in reply as the table in front of them lit up. A hologram of the planet popped up before them, slowly rotating. “Thank you."

“Not like I can do much else." Sphinx just replied in his ear. Isaac had connected them all together on the same radio frequency. He doubted they'd need it on the planet, each planning to go their own way. Still, it was always safe to have a backup plan.

“What are we going to do about him anyways?" Juke nodded towards the table and thus the AI within.

“I got that handled." Samson came up from the underground stairwell with a rather large box.

“You going to finally trash him?" The coyote smirked.

He got flipped off by Sphinx's avatar.

“Another transfer until I can find him a proper body." Samson just said fiddling with the controls on the table. The slot opened up and Samson took it, placing it inside the scrap box. Burying it underneath several black metal drone parts.

Sphinx's pulsing light dimmed until it nearly faded. Samson just hoped he'd be able to pass through the check point.

“Well, anyways. We'll be there soon enough." Isaac said coming back over from the front. “We broken into the galaxy. The scans showed the Tigeron's are aware of us. At least they haven't shot us down, yet."

“What did you tell them?"

“The truth, uh… mostly." Isaac said. “Just that we fixed the ship on Xi'toss and when we were on board the auto pilot engaged and we were all stuck in for the long haul. They gave us clearance to land and from there, well…" The Terran shrugged. “Just don't go picking any fights."

“We'll be separating then..." Typhon spoke up looking around the room. Everyone refused to make eye contact. It was something they all had agreed on without words, understanding each of them came from different sectors.

Samson would be going with Sphinx. Isaac with Typhon and last but not least, Juke would go to the nearest pub to drown himself in the bottom of a glass.

The crew of The Stellar Drift hadn't been arranged or planned. They each had to put up with each other for the past several weeks. A feat in itself that none of them had killed another.

“Look. We all knew this was going to happen…" Isaac just started up with. “As much as I'll miss you guys, and it's been great broadening my horizons; I still am a member of the Terran Fleet…" Isaac tapped a finger on the winged T on his chest. “Kind of stuck with it…"

“And I just wanted to be dropped off at a trade post. Might as well end up in the trade capital of the universe!" Juke shrugged his brown overcoat on as he adjusted his cowboy hat. “It's been a fun ride, boy'yos." He gave each a nod, save for Typhon. The two just glared at each other.

“I'm going to find Sphinx a body…" Samson said speaking directly to Isaac. “If you guys need a mechanic after that…" Isaac returned the look with a smile. The two of them hadn't spoken much but the few words had been nice enough; when Samson wasn't chastising him about something or other.

“Sounds good." And that was where Isaac had thought of the idea of giving each of them an earpiece to keep in contact “just in case. You don't have to use it and you can even hawk it when we land on Nova, the Tigeron trading capital. I found the earpieces here anyways."

“Why Nova?" Typhon asked.

“It's the main trading port within the sector. The Tigers don't let anybody on their ancestral home world; they still are the leading capital in this entire regime of space though! Their trade is like nothing you've ever seen before. Anyone passing by comes by here to restock and refuel. Or peruse their stock and wares."

“Or go on a date." Samson coughed under his breath, eying Typhon who got the idea.

“And pay a hefty tax for it too." Juke added on. The coyote was already strapped for cash at it was and being in one of the most expensive places in the known galaxy wasn't about to help that. He kept it to himself, just needing a drink above all else.

“They have one of the highest exports, imports of the entire Galactic Front. Tigeron's are the reason why Terrans ended up being accepted into the group to begin with!" Isaac thought that over. “I think it was a Tigeron ship that crash landed on Earth back in the day. Uh, the original Earth that is. We called it First Contact."

“What about with Saber?" Typhon asked hopeful, tail wagging.

“You're honestly the first and only Saber I've ever met or heard of." Isaac chuckled at that. “I guess I got lucky." He smiled. Typhon wagged. “You're a good friend." The saberwolf frowned as he got a friendly pat on the arm.

“Friend zoned." Juke just laughed behind the saberwolf as he walked by.

The Stellar Drift automatically came to a stop outside the space ring floating over the planet's atmosphere. A system check was ran over their vessel; the ship was scanned for all life as a rather large orange tiger popped up on the front screen in the cockpit. Isaac moved over first, standing proudly and saluting in Terran fashion.

He was just glad Tigeron and Terra were on friendly terms.

“Greetings, I am Isaac Mayhew of the Terran Fleet." Isaac took command not trusting the others who were still squabbling in the back. “We are bringing the Stellar Drift back as per protocol…"

“Automated system, ya' ya'. I got cha'." The tiger went over the mandatory check list. Asking about contraband, any fugitives, if they all were licensed to be traveling; one question after another going down the hundred question list until at the end the tiger just checked the last several off for them.

Isaac had said very little. This was going far smoother than he had feared it would. This must happen far more often than he was aware of. That said a lot about how the Tigeron treated their tech. Willing to inconvenience the rest of the universe to protect what was theirs.

“We're locked out of the system so I can't send over digital ID. We'll have to show you them when we land." Isaac said tapping on the controls to show he couldn't do anything with them.

“All standard procedure, no need to worry." The tiger paused looking over the scan. “Strange… the ship doesn't seem to be in any of the databanks. Must be an error, where did you say we got it again?"

“We found it in the Xi sector." Isaac just said taking a seat in the chair. “Salvage run. We brought it to Xi'toss in order to get it repaired…" He said again going over the lie they all had agreed on.

They'd leave out how Typhon was found onboard or the rogue AI installed into the system. A lot of things weren't said. It wasn't exactly a lie if you just didn't bring it up, right?

“Must be an error." The tiger shook his head, clearly having been working a long day as it was already. The massive orange feline scratched his cheek with a hand, holding the clip board with two others and his fourth hand was holding what looked to be a coffee mug. “You're free to dock. Not that I can stop it. Or you, hah." He added turning the screen off.

Isaac let out his breath with a loud sigh as he rested back. “Too close… this damn ship has been nothing but trouble since I found it!" The Terran just watched as they went past the security check point, through the metal ring opening in the planet's shield and heading down towards the jungle planet below.

Nova was a massive planet with a lush jungle covering more than half of it. Interspersed with mountains, the planet before them was a shifting green, brown and blue as The Stellar Drift descended towards its surface. Several ships flew past them as they began to land.

“How'd you guys find it anyways?" Juke asked taking a seat. Isaac had noticed the coyote only asked questions when he was being nosy about something, trying to figure out what the Terran knew as if Isaac was holding back.

Like always, Isaac just told the truth.

“I found it. Not the SS Thunderbird or the Fleet. I found the coordinates for the SOS that had been sent out and told the others about it… I gave the credit over to Kaira; she deserved the win and was trying to get promoted. It was supposed to be both of our big break…" Isaac just said as he buckled in, telling Typhon to do the same.

Isaac rested back, closing his eyes as the jets kicked in and The Stellar Drift landed on the planet Tigeron. He didn't even feel the turbulence this time around. The landing was smooth and clean without crashing; that was always a good start.

The first thing that hit them was the humidity of the planet as the bay doors open and the ramp was lowered. The sweltering dry heat of the mining planet was nothing compared to what Tigeron did to them. Typhon was panting, Isaac had increased the AC on his suit and the Ursa had frozen at the doorway as if refusing to leave the ship.

Juke was the only one who seemed to at least tolerate the heat; the coyote ex-marshal just walking past the rest and vanishing into the crowd of people out front.

The raised platform they were on was lifted above everything else. Several workers were already coming their way and Isaac went over the introduction again, answering the questions and showing off his ID. Several of the tigers were in thick, heavily layered combat armor. The security guards were each as imposing as the next and Isaac made sure to answer everything as quickly and politely as he could.

“And you?" The front orange tiger asked. The tigeron held a clip board with two hands while his other two hands were on his hips next to the twin blasters he carried; the four arm tiger was eying Typhon suspiciously since he walked down the ramp of their ship.

“He's with me." Isaac tried to say stepping in front. The tiger security guard was having none of it.

“I need credentials. Now." The security guard popped the strap off both his side arms, fingers twitching to grab them at a moment's notice.

“He means," Typhon stepped forward lifting up Isaac's arm to show off the band. “He's with me." The saberwolf clarified. The tiger took a moment on that, crossing both his sets of arms with a frown clearly not liking what it meant. The paperwork required for a banded was ridiculous.

“I see…" The tiger looked at Isaac with almost pity in his eyes. With a shake of his large head, the tiger wrote something down and then let the two pass by without a fuss.

“The hell was that about?" Isaac asked in a hushed whisper, looking back at the security guards now harassing Samson.

“What's in the box!" One of them shouted making the Terran feel bad for the Ursa.

“I told you." Typhon winked. “You're Saber property. Diplomatic immunity." He wagged. “Isn't it nice to be a Saber?"

“Yes. I got that. How does that allow you to pass through a security point?" Isaac just frowned at him as the two headed down the steps leading to the main road. Typhon took a second on that. “Exactly." The Terran rolled his eyes. “This whole thing is screwy. Diplomatic immunity doesn't mean you can just go and do whatever you want!"

Maybe it did; Isaac never had a chance to test a thing out before.

Isaac wiped a hand through his hair, pulling out his tablet and connected it to the Global Wide Galactic Web; the server used by everyone within the Galactic Front.

“Tigeron is half jungle, half mountains and half bodies of water." Isaac pulled up the tour guide, walking right past the female tiger waiting to greet them.

Female tigers didn't have the extra pair of arms and instead had a small horn growing from the middle of their forehead. The colors varied by sex and nationality of the tigers. From the deepest of reds to the brightest of orange, there were even rare breeds that had green or yellow fur. All had stripes though their colors varied greatly as well.

The most common was still the orange fur and black stripe.

“Welcome to Tigeron Eleven, planet Nova, home to the great Tigeron race!" She smiled waving at the two. The female tiger was dressed in an intricately loose dress, looking far more like a robe. It looped over one shoulder with golden brass rings, adorn with a rainbow of feathers and left the sides open for the air to circulate.

Isaac noted the outfit more so than the female herself.

“We'll need to get something to wear while we're here." Isaac just said giving her a polite smile before ignoring her once more as she started up the formal greeting she used with all new visitors; only to frown and glare as they walked right by without giving her the time of day. “The air here is horrible. The newer uniforms I have in mind are designed with these A/C units inside that'll keep our skin cool. Plus…"

Isaac glanced over at the saberwolf. His blue fur stood out in the sunlight. Typhon was looking up at the birds flying overheard, listening to the crowd around them before sneezing from the pollen in the air. Only then did he look over at the Terran, his face lighting up as his tail wagged.

The crowded street kept the two close to one another as they walked.

People from all matters and walks of life passed them by only giving brief curious glances at Typhon before moving on and forgetting about him just as quickly. The slugmen from Alpha Nine, the Insects of the Bleblia star system; the lizards of the Numad system and several aquatic races Isaac had only read about in holologs.

A trio of large tiger sharks, ironically, walked between the two as they split so they didn't get trampled by the sharkmen.

Nova was the newfound capital of the Tigeron race though that was mostly because their ancestral home was off limits to all but them. Due to the Tigeron's forward-looking take on the Galactic Front union of the different races and nations, and being one of the first largest nations too; they had quickly become the leading trading hub for nearly all races.

They accepted all forms of currency and could even exchange them for others. Their doors were open for all legal trade and due to the Tigeron fleet being one of the largest in known space; they were also the law enforcement that kept the Galactic Front in power even with the numerous space pirates and rogue nations out there.

Dispersed amongst the crowd were Terran's and Tigeron's, the Insectiod that varied from moths to cockroaches and lizards that looked at said insects with hungry eyes. The Tigeron's were an advanced race of aliens that predated the formation of even the Council. They're technology showcased this.

Large towers jutted out of the ground with several cameras and guards stationed on them. Keeping an eye out for anyone foolish enough to cause a problem. Drones flew overhead just below the air traffic flying overhead. Massively large two legged walkers  were stationed at nearly every corner with tigers in combat suits underneath them.

It looked like a military state despite the Tigeron race trying to appear more like peacekeepers for the civilized races out there.

The buildings were tall, greatly differing in size from one to the other. The outside of each of the taller ones had been painted with browns and greens like the jungle the city sat in. The smaller buildings looked more like mud huts until you went inside to see how new age they were. From above the whole city looked like open dirt roads amongst trees instead of buildings. Even the satellite dishes and antenna had been designed to resemble foliage.

“It doesn't look that high tech…" Typhon grumbled looking around in wonder.

“That's because this is just what they WANT you to see." Isaac chuckled patting his head twice.

The roads were a light brown with individual plates connecting together with dirt over them. Each plate was a solar panel that supplied power to the various buildings and markets the two were walking between. Like the building, the market had been built to look far older than it actually was.

The wooden beams supporting the nearest store was built from metal with faux wood bolted to the outside to make it look as if it were made of wood instead.

As a trading hub, the main plaza was in fact a massive bazaar that ranged farther than the eye could see in all directions. The streets were crowded, the air humid, a light drizzle of rain began to fall above as everyone went about their day with little care in the world for others around. It was so dense with people it would be impossible to find the other if they got separated.

Typhon half feared Isaac would try to run off but found the Terran had no such thing in mind.

“Over here!" Isaac called running over towards an open stall with Typhon followed behind quickly on his hind legs. There were several outfits that looked as if they were made in mind for someone of Isaac's size but clearly not made by a Terran. Typhon walked on over on two legs, unable to get the space to go on four.

“Are you sure?" Typhon snorted looking at the colorful display laid out. Most of the outfits had holes in them for additional arms or tails; some even had openings in the back for horns and spines. Each uniform looked like something the two had on already, though slightly altered.

“Look. I know we wash these every day, but it's sickening wearing the SAME damn thing every single day for fifteen years." Isaac just grumbled pulling at his flight suit. “Be nice for a change…"

“Fifteen years?" Typhon inquired as Isaac went around the rack to pull out several outfits to look them over before putting them back. The Terran jumped as Typhon poked his snout through to sniff him when Isaac hadn't answered.

“Yeah." Isaac pushed the nose back with a finger. “We're given a few suits when we first join; we're stuck with them during and after the academy. They barely get any fancier than this." Isaac gestured at what he was wearing. The teal green silver lined flight suit had the colors of the Terran Fleet. The silver badge on the front indicated that Isaac was a First-Class pilot. A pair of eagle wings with the T emblem between them.

“We mostly wear combat suits." Typhon walked around to join him as Isaac turned away to look over the hanging outfits in the wooden stall. The wolf just had to growl to clear out a space for Isaac to move in to get a better view.

“Combat suits?" Isaac asked looking back and up at Typhon. The canine had been walking on his back legs forcing Isaac to have to crane his neck upwards to look into his face. Both of Typhon's ears were up as he looked around as if keeping an eye out for danger. “Ease up a bit, we're just shopping."

“Right." Typhon nodded, nose twitching. There were so many strange smells here from all the different races, the spices next door and the powder they used to cure some of the leather hides on the other side.

His sharp nose could only wrinkle not used to it at all.

“About your outfits?" Isaac just pressed. “I mean I found you naked, so…"

A pair of rather tall, scrawny lizards gave him a look at that and quickly moved away. Isaac ignored them the best he could, though he lowered his voice as the rambunctious crowd outside drowned out their conversation.

“We wear traditional hides we get from the beasts of the planet for ceremonies and rituals." Typhon thought it over, having to recall the matter. He had never been allowed to attend any of them after all not earning his mark yet. “Otherwise, during missions we have combat suits. You won't see those often, being a companion."

“Unless you're assigned a mission, correct?" Isaac asked offhandedly as he pulled out a rather large canvas. It took him a second to realize it was actually a scarf made for someone far larger than he was.

Typhon nodded. “You shouldn't have to deal with such things." He said again, trying to make his stay sound far more fun than it would be. Fearing Isaac still doubted this exchange. Even if the Terran had the band on, it didn't mean he was just ok with being kidnapped.

Typhon had already done that thrice now and was afraid he'd have to keep doing it until they got to Saber.

“What if I want one?" Isaac continued his questions as he reached up to grab one of the outfits. Typhon helped him bring it down. “Thank you," Isaac just smiled as he looked it over. “This is far better design than we have back home!"

Typhon ear batted. “Why would you want a combat suit?"

“For when I pilot." Isaac looked down at his arm. “Though I might need a modified one so I can use the port to connect in. Does Saber tech use connector ports or…?" The Terran asked looking back up at Typhon.

The saberwolf wasn't sure how to answer that. Instead he just licked over one of his saber like teeth with his tongue as he looked around for a distraction. Isaac wouldn't be allowed to do much on Saber… his job was basically to keep a saberwolf company. Even Typhon realized that was something Isaac wouldn't like. To just sit there all day and wait to do something.

Let alone for that tablet… Isaac pulled it out to look it over, scanning the price on the outfit and then looking at their funds. He did it so effortlessly as if he'd been born with it in one hand. It was part of Isaac as much as Typhon's tail was part of himself.

“It was nice of Samson to deposit the money." Isaac said walking out of the shop a good fifteen minutes later dressed for success. He wore a traditional Tigeron outfit that had been fitted to look like a Terran academy suit, like the one Isaac had been wearing. It was open at the sleeves, sides and down the sides of the legs with white stripes almost like a tigers. Each strip allowed for circulation of the air within the outfit and Isaac already felt far cooler than previously. He had transferred the badge from his previous suit to the one he was wearing.

“Wish we had a ship to drop our things off in." Isaac said looking at his companion.

Typhon had begrudgingly let Isaac dress him as well. The jumper had been sold on the spot, neither of the two wanting to say it didn't belong to them; replaced with a blue and gold uniform that fit snuggling over the saberwolf's chest. Open at both arms and legs with similar stripes running down the sides to allow for airflow; though black instead of the silver white Isaac had.

The canine noticeably relaxed feeling far more comfortable than he had previously as he zipped the front of the suit down to let his chest fur stick out.

“They were pricey but worth the fee." Isaac gave him a wink. It wasn't like either of the two had directly paid for it themselves, instead having gotten the illegal funds for selling the hibernation chamber. “They also have the air filters like the old ones do! With temperature adjustors and several neat little features to them both. They're perfect uniforms!"

Typhon just tugged on his. His neck was exposed showing off the fanged necklace he had found within the pod he'd woken up in. The fangs belonged to his parents; though not the recognizable saber like fangs, those were buried in the Citadel with all the others.

It was tradition to take a fallen saberwolf's fangs back home to bury instead of the body that was usually burned on the spot.

“They belong to my parents." Typhon had told Isaac during their travels together. “We had been raided by a rogue ship. They attacked the village, hunting for saberwolves. Our pelts sell very well. My parents died during the raid to save me. Even though…"

Isaac touched Typhon's hand as the saberwolf looked down at the necklace.

“They'd be proud of you, you know." Isaac just said. Typhon doubted that but didn't mention it as the two walked down the street in the rain that had begun to fall. Checking out the various stalls they passed by at a slow leisure pace. “Not many people get out from their home sector. Most get stuck there for the rest of their lives. We've already been to three different ones!" Isaac eyes lit up as he thought about it. “I never thought I'd be so lucky…"

Several of the stalls were selling fruit that neither of the two had seen. Purple bulbous things with twitching antenna with green glowing orbs at the end of each. Isaac politely declined to try a free sample.

The two walked towards the middle of the bazaar where a large fountain had been constructed.

“I never thought I'd get to leave the Terran sector of space… I was worried I'd be cooped up there my entire life! Only ever seeing other Terrans… And now here!" Isaac looked around at all the others. The smaller Terran had to step out of the way of two oversized komodo dragons that walked past them.

It was very common to see the Lizard race in pairs of two.

“They're soulmates." Isaac explained as he took a seat at the edge of the fountain looking into the crystal clear water. There were numerous coins; though he wasn't sure why anyone would toss a coin into a fountain. “They're born together and die together or so it's said. Usually it's because the other pair ends up committing suicide or fighting to their death to avenge their fallen partner."

“Is it… like a relationship?" The saberwolf watched the two komodo dragons walk by. The two large gray scaled lizards had massive spines running down their backs and over their tails. The two continued to bicker worse than he and Isaac did; the slightly larger of the two even whipped their tail against the others leg.

“Like mates? Sexually?" Isaac chuckled. “No. It's like us. They are paired together by chance when they are born, matched under the stars and then… well." He gestured at the two still bickering amongst themselves. “You got to live with the hand your dealt."

Typhon flicked his tail at that. “What if," the saberwolf paused as he looked around at all those around them. Those alone. Those with their families. Those with their partners and others still just passing by. “You like the hand you were dealt with?" Typhon took a seat on the lower step up to the fountain.

“I'd say your damn lucky then." Isaac only laughed in response looking up at the sky. There were hardly any clouds and yet the rain continued to trickle down from above. It was warm just as the weather was and he was just glad he had the right mind to dress for the planet's surface.

“You aren't happy with how things turned out… I understand." Typhon took a slow breath about to continue when Isaac butt in.

“No. Not that. In a way, I'm thankful you showed up…" Isaac looked down at his artificial hand, turning it over to look at the back. “My life wasn't bad back home. Just a bit boring and slow, the same routine. Nothing exactly knew and crazy, like you." Isaac added giving Typhon a wink. “I just… wish I had been dealt a better hand, is all." He added covering the hand with his own.

“Why did you get it done… you never answered me." Typhon sat there looking up at the blue sky above, letting the rain fall on his face and run through his fur. He closed his eyes, smelling all the scents around them.

One stood out; as he opened his eyes, looking down at the smaller Terran, Typhon knew it was Isaac scent. Even among all these other races Typhon could detect the one he'd slept with for the past several weeks.

“I… come from a rather prestigious family. The role I wanted to play is highly coveted by others. The competition was fierce and… well, I needed a hand up on the competition!" Isaac smiled holding up the hand. Typhon could tell it was a forced pained smile.

“We don't allow such enhancements because of that. The best wins and the rest get left behind…" Typhon folded his hands together in his lap looking down at them. His dark black hair fell over his eyes, the blue highlighted tips moved and danced in the sunlight above as if glowing. Shifting and changing with his emotions.

At first Isaac thought Typhon was getting on him about it, only to notice he hadn't been talking to the Terran but rather himself.

“I guess we both were dealt the same kind of hand, huh?" Isaac mused aloud before jumping up. “Ok, then let's change that!" He offered a hand. Typhon gave him a look. “It's too nice a day to be sulking around! Let's go see the sights and enjoy this vacation!" He reached down and took one of Typhon's large hands with both his own. “Come on! I don't want to go alone." He pulled at the spacewolf. “Typhon! Come on! Play with me!"

Typhon diamond shaped ears flicked before he got up, tail wagging as he followed after. The day was young and Isaac wasn't about to pass up such a rare opportunity as he led Typhon around the square to check out each of the stands.

Each stall were as diverse as the crowd around them. Some were selling food. Some were selling pets. Some were selling pets as food. There were numerous different clothing stores and even several places that sold jewelry. Isaac ducked into a couple before shaking his head.

“Too pricey for my blood." He just laughed before heading over to the next.

The day was dragging on as the two went around the entire square one stall at a time until it had to be close to dinner. The red sun above was beginning to set and the two were looking to stop for the day. Isaac hadn't heard back from Samson or Juke and figured it would just be him and Typhon from there on.

“Over here! I can't believe they have these!" Isaac said in delight coming up to a stand. The female tiger gave a small bow, welcoming him politely before eying the saberwolf. She was wearing a flower pattern white dress. “These are moon cakes! They're really popular back home."

Typhon looked the cookie brown cakes over, sniffing at one. “They don't look like moons…"

“No, no. It's a tradition from home." Isaac quickly explained paying for two. The lady gave another bow, a thanks and put both in paper covers before handing them over.

“Please enjoy." She smiled softly as they walked off with their treat.

“Ok, ok let me tell you!" Isaac said as they walked around the square and towards the other side where the populace eased up allowing the two some room to breathe. There was an overlook and Isaac ran over to get a view of the city.

Several others were doing the same as the sun was setting and the stars were coming out.

“Beautiful." He smiled over the sea of trees before them. The overlook looked down into the valley of trees surrounding the capital city. So vast they looked like a green sea, moving and swaying as the wind blew below.

The wind blew and Isaac could smell the pollen in the air. It must be spring here on this planet, he was sure. Isaac didn't need to check for that. The flowers were blooming, the birds were singing, the weather was nice with the strong scented breeze blowing.

“So what's the deal with these fancy cakes?" Typhon sniffed it before giving a shrug and biting half of it. Crumbs fell from between his lips as the canine just tossed the rest into his muzzle, unimpressed.

“First of all, they're delicious." Isaac took a bite. “Second," he said spraying crumbs. “These are Terran design. The Tigeron like to appear all fancy, educated and well accustomed to the various visitors from all over the galaxy… the fact of the matter is, they're…" Isaac looked around before moving closer and whispering. “Thieves."

Typhon quirked an eyebrow at that.

“They take all the best thing from other cultures," Isaac held up the cake. “Alter it just slightly then claim they invented it. Sell it at double the price and," he took a bite frowning a bit. “Profit." He swallowed. “Uh, keep in mind that's a bit of hear-say on my part. My brother told me about it."

“About moon cakes?"

“Well, no that was my mother. These are too salty though, made me remember what my brother had said." Isaac waved that off. “Usually they're just buttery and sweet and creamy and just so good!" Isaac nearly swooned before laughing at the look he got.

“Do you make them?" Typhon just continued to ask, always good company.

“I used to…" Isaac shook his head. “Ok, story time." Typhon laughed at that poking his side for that. “Stop distracting me!"

“Pfft, I'm not! You're the one distracting yourself." Typhon wagged.

“Am not, asshole." Isaac got back into it.

“You still totally are ya' little shit." Typhon hugged him around the neck with one arm, giving him a noogie and got a side elbow in return. The saberwolf “oofed" but didn't let go as they rested back against the railing.

“If you didn't want to hear it," Isaac grumbled embarrassed.

“I never said I didn't!" Typhon barked a laugh. “If you didn't have like the shortest attention span ever you'd have told me already!"

“Ass." Isaac rolled his eyes and tried to shrug Typhon off but couldn't. “I don't want too anymore…"

“Don't make me sit on you!" The saberwolf growled now.

“Don't tease me with a good time!" Isaac would counter with an instantly the saberwolf would back down, ears splaying out as he let go of the Terran. It hadn't been the first time Isaac had said or pulled something to get Typhon to back down and admit defeat.

It was cruel, Isaac admitted; still was better than having a saberwolf drooling over him. Teasing him past a certain point would get Typhon all flustered and the saberwolf wasn't sure how to proceed from there.

“Would you… enjoy that?" Typhon dared to ask this time around catching Isaac off guard. The human faltered for a second before just shrugging.

“I don't know. Never had a dog sit on me." Isaac would deflect making Typhon fur stand up.

“Wolf. Not dog!"

“Wolfdog?" Isaac offered. Only starting up another round of bickering between the two.

“Maybe I will sit on you, see how much you like that!"

“You guys pile on top of each other, not that much different, right?" Isaac teased. Typhon just growled low. “If I get to Saber."

“When." Typhon corrected, Isaac waved that off.

“When or if or how or what I get to Saber… who's to say you'll be the one I end up staying with?" Isaac looking out over the sea of trees at the sun slowly setting over them. “Or sat on." He chuckled lightly.

“Of course it'll be me…" Typhon snorted at the very notion.

“How do you know? You told me it's all about strength and what not; if someone stronger comes around, then what?" Isaac almost laughed, almost. He couldn't meet those eyes that looked like miniature galaxies staring down at him. “You told me you're the runt of the litter… what chance do we actually have?"

Typhon ears laid back as Isaac rested against the railing looking out over the sea of trees before them. One of the walkers were making their patrol, stomping on by through the forest as they kept the perimeter safe. The two watched as it passed.

With a gruff sigh accompanied by a growl, Typhon moved behind Isaac, resting his chin on top of the Terran's head and looked over the world before them. Placing both hands on Isaac's the saberwolf rested his weight on the human's back. He exhaled again.

“What do you suggest…?" Typhon voice was soft. “I'm not smart like you. I'm just doing what comes natural. I'm just a big stupid dog…"

“You're just inexperienced, not stupid, Typhon." Isaac opened his fingers and felt the saberwolf's slide his between them. “There's a big difference…"

“What about you then, huh? You're just a Terran pilot." Typhon smirked looking down at the human. He nuzzled his hair, inhaling his scent. Isaac squirmed but Typhon didn't let him go.

“I'll have you know I worked my ass off," Isaac turned around to try and push Typhon away.

“And cheated." Typhon continued to tease, smirking into Isaac's face now as he placed both hands on the railing behind the Terran who could only back up into it.

“Yeah and I also feel like I've lived a thousand lifetimes just trying to keep up with everyone else." Isaac rested back. “I know I said this before but…" Isaac looked behind him over one shoulder out at the world. Typhon just smiled at the Terran instead. “This is like the vacation of my dreams… I worked so hard in the Academy. I didn't make friends other than Kaira and Tai. Day in and day out I studied, I took extra classes, I worked with teachers, I cheated." Isaac admitted with a sad smile. “And still… I barely managed to get this."

He looked down at the pair of wings attached to his chest.

“You passed though." Typhon pointed out as he rested his chin on Isaac's head again. Isaac turned towards him and found his face full of the saberwolf's furry chest. “And because of that, you found me…" Typhon voice was as soft as it had been there as he looked out over the world.

Isaac took a second before giving the saberwolf a strong hug, closing his eyes as he got lost in the sea of fur that was Typhon's chest. It smelled of the rain, it smelled like ozone and the faint musk of the strong male that returned the favor with a hug of his own.

It reminded him of home…

“We won't be able to go to Saber without a ship…" Isaac said having thought of the issue from the very beginning. He hadn't let Typhon in on it; the fact of the matter was simple. The ship they had been riding in was stolen Tigeron property. Of course they would lose it the second they reached Planet Nova.

Being stranded on the planet would be beneficent to Isaac who knew the tigers and human had a strange but peaceful relationship with each other. There would be a Terran embassy here where Isaac could check in and report his status to those back home. And in turn head back home when the time came.

“Right…" Typhon frowned at that as if not realizing they had just lost their means to get to Saber. He let the Terran go, looking down at Isaac. “What do we do then?"

“Well…" Isaac took a second, thinking it over. “I have a few things in mind." Isaac wasn't about to tell Typhon he planned to go to the embassy after enjoying his vacation off.

“Of course you do." Typhon only smiled at that, letting him go and resting next to the railing. “You always have something going on in that head of yours. I can tell." He added getting a look. “It's like you're having a hundred different conversation with yourself."

Isaac frowned at that as he rested back next to the saberwolf.

“Only way not to be left behind is to make sure you're three moves ahead of everyone else." Isaac shrugged. The two stood there enjoying the weather as they rested after their long outing together.

Music drifted over towards them making Typhon's ears perk up. Wind and string instruments had begun to play as a nearby stage had been filled with and a play was being put on as the sun set over the horizon.

“What's that all about?" Typhon just asked.

“Probably the moon goddess play. It's big in Tigeron culture. Reason why they stole our moon cakes." Isaac chuckled lightly. Typhon gave him a look.

“You know you want to tell me all about it." Typhon wagged.

“Fine, fine if you're going to twist my arm." Isaac pulled out his tablet tapping over a few times before stowing it away once more. “Long ago there was an ancient story about a beautiful and kind woman named Chang'e. She was in love with a man, Hou Yi. They were deeply, madly, insanely in love with each other," Isaac chuckled. “Hou Yi won a prize for shooting down the suns." Typhon just gave him a look. “Long story."

“I got all night." Typhon only smiled, his black lips pulling up.

Isaac was still watching the play, his face falling a bit near the end as he finished it up.

“Hoy yi prize was a special elixir from the gods. He saved the world and so they thanked him with the gift… But due to his conniving apprentice who planned to steal the elixir for himself, Chang'e drank it instead. The prize the man she loved had won, she ended up taking for herself; the two hadn't been sure how to split the reward. Fearing they'd lose it, Chang'e acted brashly and took it before the apprentice could. They couldn't be together and so she flew up to the moon waiting for him until the end of time..."

“That just seems silly." Typhon snorted. “Why not just kill the apprentice?"

“Sad." Isaac corrected. “The story is very sad. My mother used to tell it to me..."

“Why?"

“Because you're supposed to be happy with what you have?  Or something like that." Isaac shrugged and walked over towards the play. He stood by, listening to the music. “To be waiting for the one you love until the end of time…" Isaac took a moment before looking at Typhon who had joined him. “I took a potion of immortality once."

“Excuse me?" Typhon snorted at that. “You plan to live longer than me?"

“Not exactly…" Isaac took a second. “I wasn't supposed to survive... My mother was supposed to have a miscarriage like all the times before… Instead, there was this stranger that showed up. He gave my mother the elixir of immortality," Isaac chuckled referencing the story rather than reality. “A special medicine. Everything else she tried hadn't worked. She said it was because of that I was able to be born…"

“You don't seem happy about that." Typhon noted, sniffing at him lightly with crestfallen eyes.

“The medicine was too strong. My mother grew weak after that, according to my brother. Years later she would pass away, far younger than she should've. I… I barely have memories of her. Because I had survived, she died." Isaac shook his head before looking up at the night sky.

The stars were out. One raced across the night sky before vanishing, forever.

“Why tell me?" Typhon ears splayed out.

“You told me about your parents." Isaac shrugged, taking another moment before looking over at the saberwolf. “I guess I feel I owed it to you. Plus, it just feels like I told you this story before?" He offered with a laugh and a smile. “I can tell you anything, Typhon. It's nice."

The street lamps began to flick on around them. Luminescent bulbs of white light looking like massive fireflies over the dying streets as everyone began to wrap up their day, packing up to head home. The only ones out were shopkeepers packing up and those watching the play, like them.

“It's a beautiful night." Isaac noted looking around them. Typhon kept his focus on the Terran, licking over one saberfang before taking a half step closer.

“I won't leave you, like that… you know, that, right?" Typhon swallowed heavily. That drew Isaac's attention. “You're my companion and I'm yours… we, you… You won't be alone again. I promise." Typhon ran a hand over Isaac's arm looking down into the smaller males eyes. He took a short, shuddering breath. “We're bonded together. As a pack." He licked over a saber tooth before swallowing nervously. “You banded. Me your… band-y."

Isaac lifted an eyebrow at that but politely didn't interrupt.

“Together." Typhon took a pause, inching closer. Lowering his snout down. “We belong together." And with that, licked Isaac's nose.

The Terran took a second to respond.

“Why did you lick me?" Isaac just chuckled, feeling a bit foolish. He thought the saberwolf was about to do something else.

“Well, I, that's because I like you." The flustered saberwolf managed to choke out feeling red in the face.

“I like you too." Isaac patted his cheek, taking a step back and turned away. Typhon caught him though, stopping the Terran.

“No. I mean, I like like you." Typhon stammered out making the human just give him a look.

“Typhon…" Isaac began.

The two couldn't continue as a wailing sound began to fill the air around them stopping them as well as the play that was beginning to wrap up. The sirens blared louder and louder as they repeated from the watch towers. They just exchanged a look.

“Serious-freaking-ly!" Typhon cursed as Isaac radio the others to check in on them. “I can't just have one freaking moment to confess!" The saberwolf cursed to himself, growling and snarling with balled fists as the sirens continued to wail.

A sound they wouldn't forget…
