Pretty much from the moment I got the sketch for my first commission, I immediately had a bunch of other ideas that all involved Rath on the receiving end of some form of beating or another, such as one where he's getting thrown by an old aikido master. I like to think that sparring with practitioners of other martial arts is part of his training, in that he's learning about the kinds of moves a given martial art specializes in and how to deal with them.
Contrary to what it may seem like, Rath is, in fact, a highly formidable opponent. He's just a sucker for being on the receiving end, and as such is likely to let his opponent get several hits in, even in a real fight.
