Behind the Barbell Cover Art Commission

I am super excited that
@amethystmare
commissioned me for the title of her upcoming digital book Behind The Barbell and here it is.
I really tried to make this black stallion pop out of his background so he is super shiny. :)
This was much different subject matter then I normally do (wellll, minus the pony ;p) but it was a good challenge trying to get that gym equipment in the right perspective.

Next time keep in mind to place the secondary vanishing point(left to right lines) further away.

Sorry, I don`t fully understand. If you have any reference material I could look at, perspective is a pretty new thing for me.

I know what a secondary vanishing point is, just not why it needs to be further away and how to know when it needs to be further away versus closer

The front to back lines are good, then to find the the secondary point, at the bottom of the image, the intersection or tile lines in this case is minimum 90 degree angle or greater for best results. Easy.

as long as it isn't cruely put I am always open to critique, it can be so hard to see mistakes when you put hours into a picture, you're eyes go blind to it. :)

You'd be surprised on what I got for my honest comments, "The black character is standing in front of a black rock drawn in black lines makes it difficult to see" got lectured and ban hammered for that! The worst thing I said to another was in short "stomach vagina" since then I try to have as much tact as possible.
