No, you did not. Congrats to you. My father was a selectman in Mass. one time. Small town politics are interesting but I'll live without them.

That's what I said. Then, after years of not even having Democrats to vote for in the most Democratic state on the planet I was asked if I'd run on an insurgent ticket that was trying to knock off the dreadful incumbents. Much to my surprise, we did. Rita went to the party caucus with me (under protest) and we won by 20 votes.

You got the, 'At last, someone different to vote for' votes? *chuckles* Dad got his because an old power was a friend and wanted to knock someone else off the board. But a win is a win andit is easier to make a difference from on top.

Well, just got word that the old board is staging a primary fight. Funny how they can't be bothered to run actual candidates in an election, but they're motivated to run for their own jobs.
