It started sounding like something Amy Lee would sing on. And then at about 1:20 it changed dramatically. There's a disconnect there. I like the two sections, but I'm not sure how well they fit together. The second part sounds kinda more Nine Inch Nails inspired, in that it's more rhythmic and guttural and has a kind of robotic industrial feel, whereas the first section feels more like generic melodramatic rock. And then after 2:30 it goes in all sorts of directions.

I'll be honest, I'm confused by this. It's like you've got the ideas for three or different songs here and you're trying to merge them together, but they're different style and different tempos, so there's a big disconnect between the different parts. It's a shame, because each individual section is well done and could easily be developed into a full song in its own right. But together, they feel muddled.

I suggest using this piece as a testing ground and pulling the different bits of it apart to make individual tracks from. And add vocals! Each part seems to be desperately wanting that lead melodic line that a vocal part gives.

I don't think this is bad by any means. Good tones, well produced, good levels. Just... I'm confused by the different parts.
