The dragon, the castle and the perspective only took three or four minutes to do using some presets and a predetermined camera angle. The real time was in getting a reasonable grass plain surrounding the castle.and adding all those Lemurtek Lionheart figures!
I think it was worth it, though. It looked so dead with just the castle in the background. The Lionheart figure comes with armor and chain mail. Add a few universal poses and some strategic positioning, and you have guards on duty. It also has some regular clothing, so they became peasants, craftsmen and others living and working around the castle. Medieval Marketplace props gave a bit of a fair or at least some activity within the castle walls.
It took a few hours to get everything right (and one figure was hidden in the final render), but I think it adds a lot to the artwork.
