Small Feline blank w/ features
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Basically all it needs is ears and fur :3. Highly articulate jaw and pretty decent vision- lightweight with holes in the nostrils to aid with air circulation.

Some people sell blanks to fur (I'm thinking myself to get one to make a partial).
How much did the materials cost you? You made a plaster sculpture, then poured the mold on it then used it to cast foam?
Thankx!
I actually used ceramic clay for the positive mold, silicone for the negative, plaster for the support casting shell, and resin for the actual blank. There is in fact foam padding inside, though.
You poured silicone, and then plaster on top before pulling it out of the positive clay?
The resin positive is what kind of resin? Same as fiber glass resin? So it's solif yet can bend, or is just super solid? Why not mold a positive latex or silicone mask instead of resin?
The foam inside are just cut outs to adjust distance to the face? Or molded?
Sorry for all the questions ^_^
If you need to buy specific parts, ask. I may know where to get them.
1. Sculpt a positive out of ceramic clay; be sure to do so on a mannequin and keep in mind the fulcrum point in jaw motion.
2. After the clay is fairly dry, use brush on silicone to make the negative mold.
3. Use plaster to make a sort of shell around the cured latex mold before removing it to sustain the shape when actually casting the mask.
4. Slush cast the plastic resin using the negative silicone mold. Slush casting will ensure that it fits on one's face.
5. Cut, hinge, and do cosmetic work/sanding and its ready for eyes, jaw set, etc.
The foam is just to pad and distance the face slightly.
I get my silicone and urethane plastic resin from SmoothIn; if you look them up and look at their "smoothcast" line you'll see exactly what I use. I get everything else from various stores, or if all else fails, amazon :P
