Ciara and her mother, Deirdre, celebrating their mutual birthday together. Ciara supplied the cupcakes while Deirdre, of course, supplied the whiskey, and they spent the day together as mother and daughter for the first time since Ciara was a little girl.

I don't normally mark my characters' birthdays, but this year was rather special. If she were a real person, June 21st, 2013 would have marked Ciara's 700th birthday.

In their own timeline, however, Ciara is only 30 while her mother is 48.
