For Diane - Vocals Redone!
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
This was created for my deceased co-worker, who passed away in the late evening on July 1st 2011. I wrote the lyrics to the song the day I went in to work (8:00 A.M. July 2nd) to learn that she had passed away. Filled with grief I wrote a song in her honor to deal with the loss and pain i felt the whole day at work, after returning home I put the lyrics I had written to the piano and began working on a tune for the lyrics, once that was done I spent a couple months putting it together on a music program, music creator 5. The entire project was finally finished on September 17th 2011. This is the vocal version, For Diane. Enjoy.
I apologize for my crappy singing... But! I redid the vocals so the static is gone and it sounds better then it previously did! So... I get brownie points? <3?
Here's the lyrics. I own the lyrics and the song.
Verse 1
It all went down on a summer day like this,
woke up with a smile upon my face,
drive to work singin' in my car,
never knowin' the sorrow I'd feel..
Chorus
Walk through the doors,
Tear down the walls,
Scream out all the pain,
Choke back the tears,
Held in for; God what seems like years!
Scream in sorrow, "it's never fair when the good people die first.."
Verse 2
The day goes on, with heads hung in reverent silence,
We all recall our fondest memories,
White and purple ribbons we have tied on the outside,
while in our hearts there is loving memory...
Chorus
Walk through the doors,
Tear down the walls,
Scream out all the pain,
Choke back the tears,
Held in for; God what seems like years!
Scream in sorrow, "it's never fair when the good people die first.."
Verse 3
What a loss to the world,
Her loving smile,
What a loss to the world,
Her dear, kind heart,
Now heaven has another Angel,
And we're one short on Earth,
It's a shame, we couldn't say goodbye...
Chorus 2
Walk through the doors,
Discard your worldly cares,
One and all, we cry this day,
A moment seems like years,
Now heaven has another Angel,
And we're one short on Earth,
I know, it's not so fair,
It's hard to say goodbye..
Final Verse
Though the day, it must end,
Her memory will live on,
Immortalized within our hearts,
For all eternity,
Our dear Diane...
