\n The Otter

\n On a warm sunny day by the river's shore
\n A cute little otter is hungry once more.
\n With determination and pride he dives with a splash
\n But the fishes are gone in a rainbow flash.
\n The otter gives chase led by a twitching nose,
\n As hard as he tries it seems he's too slow
\n So he swims even faster with stretched out paws
\n But he misses the fish just an inch from his claws.
\n He keeps snapping his jaw trying to swallow them whole
\n But the poor little otter can't reach his goal.
\n The local bears watch and it seems crystal clear
\n The otter caught nothing, no matter how near.
\n The bears all laugh and their big bellies jiggle
\n As they watch the poor otter writhe and wriggle.
\n The otter now saddened climbs out from the river,
\n It seems that his skills have failed to deliver.

\n He sat all alone until the skies got dim.
\n A bear waddled over and gave a big grin,
\n He cuddled the otter and held out a paw,
\n A big juicy fish "You'll be hungry no more."
