In my opinion it would have been much more representative of who you are as a person, writer, and vocalist, if you had kept the lyric to be male. You are a brilliant talent, brother. Don't let the world's norms dictate what it is that you write. Write what it is in your heart.

Hehe. I like this song. :3 From the piano to your vocals, it ties together the lyrics and creates a structure for the song as a whole.

I had to tell you this before I forgot it.
I was dreaming last night. I was in a terrible battle, I was out numbered, out gunned and had no hope of retreat. In my dream I grabbed a grenade and prepared to take as many of the enemy down with me as I could in an explosion of glory... But before I could pull the pin this song started to play from... somewhere.
It was clear that you were not there, the song was being played via a recording and loudspeaker somewhere. I stood up from my place of cover and looked to the ground... and waited ... and waited... But the enemy never came. By the time I gathered the courage to look around for them, they were gone. As the song came to a close I woke up peacefully. Normally with this type of dream I wake up breathing heavy and sweaty like I was really there, but not this time.
I don't know what it means, (If there's anything of meaning at all to look for.) But I felt I just had to tell you this... Dunno why it was so urgent in my head.
Anyways, I hope your holidays went well and that the new year brings you good fortune.
