Zoophobia Chapter 20
Now we'll get into more of what Nicholas really is, the background story of this world, and where I think the original comic would have gone had it continued. Viv is going to reboot it but that's not for a good long while. I think much of the original will still be in the new one.

Chapter 20: Master of Wind
It had been some days since that concert. Jayjay and Nicholas were still strong as a couple. Of course they weren't the only ones for all of her clan sisters but Nightingale had also managed to hookup with either Flint, Rick, Alito, and Granite. Jack was the only one but was super close. Despite the fact the male still acted cold towards Nightingale, she was just so warm and friendly. Regardless the clan sisters had shown these males their werewolf forms. And what was more shocking was that they to were also werewolves. But these six were going to be revealed to be a lot more very soon.
It all started one day with Nicholas and Jayjay up at the usual spot where he worked. Right now the couple were taking a break. "So then, maybe you could give me that spell for my clothes?" the female asked. "I'll keep some as they are but for most I would like that."
"Are you sure?" the male asked. His girl nodded. "Very well. By doing this I'll have no choice but to tell you the rest I couldn't tell you on that night. But I guess considering how close we are I shouldn't keep it hidden any longer."
Her guy went to a corner of the room and rummaged through some stuff before emerging with what looked to be a very old spell book of some kind. "What is that?" Jayjay asked with a tilt of her head.
"I'll say in a bit," Nicholas answered and opened to the first page. "Right now I'm going to cast the spell on you that will transfer to as many cloths that come in contact with you. All you have to do is wish for them to be repaired. If you don't then don't think it."
The male began to weave his fingers in different signs while also chanting. His body began to glow with a soft green light and Jayjay saw her body began to glow a bit as well. It was a calming kind so it was creepy at all. After a some seconds of this Nicholas was finished. "There, it's finished."
"So now what?" she asked.
"Just think of it for your current outfit." She did and saw the rips and tears begin to knit together as the outfit fully covered her body as if it was completely new.
"My god that's amazing!" Jayjay stated and kissed her boyfriend in thanks. They came apart after a bit.
"I'm glad you like it," Nicholas told his girlfriend. "But there's more to it than that."
"What do you mean?"
"Follow me." He took the book and led the female on top on the balcony area of the lounge.
"Tell me, do you know how this place, Safe Haven was formed and why?"
"Yes," she answered. "This sanctuary is for all kinds of creatures ostracized by the human dominated world beyond the Oceanica Forest. All seven districts here are protected by pacts and spells to prohibit malevolent forces from entering the boundaries. Of course there are specific rules that were made by the original peacekeepers who founded this place."
"Yes, but… there's more to that tale that isn't known by many…" Nicholas stated.
"What?"
"While it is true those peacekeepers did create this place, how do you think they were able to cast those spells centuries ago? They were powerful but they couldn't do it alone. Seven other powerful beings helped as well. Each one controlling a specific element and sub power helped them. Fire, water, wind, ice, stone, earth, and light; these seven elements that these beings controlled helped them set up the boundaries and spells. Keeping out evil spirits, rogue vampires, true demons, blood hunters, and among other evil forces."
The male opened up the spell book to show it's many pages. "This not along contains spells but also descriptions of such creatures, and runes to help those descended from those that controlled these elements to battle such forces."
"But wait… That means," the female said.
"Yeah, it seems you figured it out. I have this because… I'm descended from one of them." Nicholas hunched over as wings suddenly materialized out of his back. The tops were like bird wings but ended like a dragons. "I'm descended from the one who controlled wind." In his paws small spheres of wind emerged. Jayjay was shocked and went over to look closer. "With this I can control and manipulate it and to an extent some parts of nature like hurricanes and tornados. As for my sub power I can call forth lighting since wind can generate it through static electricity through its currents. I can stop it but I can't manipulate it."
He then stopped the wind and looked to his girl. "Does this frighten you at all knowing I'm something more?"
"How could I?" she responded without missing a beat. "I love you Nicholas; nothing will change that."
"I'm happy to hear that from you." The two then hugged. "There's also another thing you need to know and that's the rune necklace I have. This one, the Angelic Power one is the first that was made centuries ago by those same people I told you about. With it not only can I tell what someone or something is, but it also has holy proprieties that those malevolent forces hate."
"That's how you were able to tell I'm a werewolf," Jayjay said.
"Correct. I'm telling you this because you will need to know this and learn. All because of something that's happened. I did come here to open up Howl Lounge as a dream. But also because something is going on with our world. I've come here to help protect and save it however I can."
"What do you mean?"
"There was an incident at the academy here," Nicholas explained. "A rouge vampire, a queen at that, managed to get past the limits along with her pet hell hound. They got very deep into the city. Something's up, but I don't know what yet."
"What can we do?" the female asked.
"For now just wait and see," the male answered. "However… I think there is hope. And as crazy as it sounds, it has to do with Cameron. I know she came here without knowing anything about this place. As you know humans who come here can never leave. For that to happen makes me think that she might be here for a very good reason. One that will help our world."
"You think that?"
"I believe that. Because even the most unlikely person can do great things. Just like I know you will for us. Which means I'm going to have to teach you some things."
"I'm ready for it." With that, Jayjay's resolve was set. She would fight whatever came at her and her boyfriend. She wasn't afraid by this news or what he had revealed. The female would stay by Nicholas's side no matter what.
