Just Go...(redux)
So, I reworked this piece. The last piece had a head and main that was much more disney/tlk inspired. It looked good, but the more I looked at it, the more I felt I had let myself down. I use to pride myself on being one of the few artists to draw leonine characters that never used TLK for reference! And suddenly I find myself mimicking that style...Ugh! Sooo, here's this piece reworked with bDusk back in my original style. I actually love him so much more like this.

The think that I really like is the lighting and shading on this; it's very powerful. The light behind him makes it very dynamic, and the feathers provide depth perspective that is feels like the character can never be reached...but then on the other hand, his expression makes me feel like he has a secret desire for the viewer to stay with him and really try to understand his pain.
Another thing that I really enjoy seeing is how everything is in monochrome, while the only color is his eyes. It really makes them stand out when you see the bigger image, and it also adds to the feeling.
Hopefully you can understand when I'm trying to say! This is a really nice piece of art in my opinion.
