yeah, it was a short lived fad around the early 2000's when everyone wanted to be Tony Hawk (remember the Nicktoon "Rocket Power?" Right around the time that show aired.) At first I thought it was referring to a type of shoe but it makes more sense as a brand name because ads usually say something like "Nike" and not "Basketball Shoe."

Ahh, yes, the late 90's-early noughties fetish for extreme sports. The Power Rangers went sky-diving in their first movie, James Bond surfed onto North Korean shores in Die Another Day for some reason, every mascot created to sell juice or candy or whatever seemed to be a some sort of skater/surfer/biker (or some sort of internet video game tech wiz), and people thought that Vin Diesel in xXx was going to out-shine James Bond. Oh yeah, and there was that shitty 'Steal' movie about the bank robbers who did extreme sports stuff for their heists, like rollar-blading away from the police. I'm not kidding.
