Edmund Wulfhart (SFW Ref)
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Edmund Wulfhart. Heir of Cernunnos. Lord of Firelies and Summer Nights. King of the Creeping Wood.
Ed is a character I ended up creating for an RPG that has since spun off to become his own character. He was a neonate vampire that ended up in the realm of a powerful fae lord of summer who, enamored with the young man's passion, decided to invest him with his own power to serve as his herald rather than outright destroy him. Edmund is no longer purely a vampire, or purely a creature of the fae realms, but something new and different, feasting on the passions and lusts of mortals alongside their blood. He has a special affinity for animals that live alongside human kind - rats, coyotes, deer, bats, etc, and himself straddles the line between civilization and wilderness.
Though Edmund has a human form, lets be honest, this is the one we were all interested in seeing.
Other fun facts about Edmund:
1.) He's usually about the temperature of a warm summer night (about 75-80F), so he's cool to the touch for a human in the summer and warm in the winter. He can raise this, and it tends to happen naturally when excited or under pressure.
2.) Though his paws usually look fairly elegant, during combat he can extend into massive werewolf-esque talons or use his wings as vicious slashing implements
3.) Despite being a vampire, he's almost outgoing and friendly to a fault. Unless someone has given him a reason to distrust them, he tends to be an open book to most people. Ironically, this makes him slightly more distrusted among some vampires.
4.) Ed is a natural shapeshifter, but prefers this form or that of a coyote whose pelt is dusted with starlight. He can also become a human, bat, change sex or details in his appearance, etc.
5.) Though Ed can sire new "vampires", what emerges from his gift is also something unusual - more akin to beastfolk than true vampires. They can survive the day and appear very much alive, but still require blood and flesh to survive. When calling upon their blood or when angered, they revert to a horned, beastman-esque state.
