Since Friday, 24/02/2012 I watched with growing attention to the events on a drilling rig on the drilling ship “Noble Discoverer” in Tranaki.

Shell wants to drill for oil in the Arctic. Researchers are warning that due to the climatic conditions of an oil spill could not be contained. In addition, the oil reserves would last only 3 years. Is that enough as an argument to drill there?

Since Friday are now seven Greenpeace activists (including actress Lucy Lawless (Xena)) climbed onto the rig to protest against Shell should begin their holes on Sunday. On Monday morning (local time) then, the protest was eventually broken up by police. Which take the activists under arrest
