Well shit, in that case just get some RAM lol your comp is in the clear since mobile tech made a major change in the 2002-2005 era, improving and getting thinner/lighter as well as more powerful, hell I have a notebook from the late 90s and it runs Vista way better than it did XP which is kinda fucked up o.O XD

Whats the status of you comp? (specs and everything, ie; RAM, HD space, speed, etc etc) I can prolly help out, letting you know what you could get for it to help improve it ^^

Ok I can tell you now, the 1.7 dual core is part of the prob lol, it's not that it's too slow, it's simply that SL wasn't/hasn't been coded to run with two processors yet (last I've heard and tried)

What about your video processor, is it a GPU or actual chipset/physical card?

right click a spot on you desktop and hit Properties (personalize: Vista users), in there you can set your screen saver, wallpaper and other things, look for the tab that lets you set your screen res. which should be the last tab, in the bar under the demo screen will be your video driver info, thats what I need to know

thats why you lag since the vid doesn't have its own memory to suck up on it leeches off you RAM thus basically robbing your comp of valuable performance

If you have the money, I'd recommend a new notebook from http://www.ibuypower.com you tell them what you want, they build it and you pay for what you WANT, not the name, unlike Alienware, Dell and all those other big names, you actually pay for the material item and they're worth it too, just depends on what you want
