Meet Auden and Ainsley, Kakusu coming to visit! "What are Kakusu, Brynne?" Well I'm glad you asked!

Kakusu are spiritual beings, human souls who combined with animal souls to create one singular being. They have no faces beneath those masks- beware! Any markings you see on them are on the 'face' below, which is just the memory of their death.

Aside from that, there's something else that's interesting about the Kakusu. They are beings of balance, Yin and Yang, literally! Auden is from Yang, as he is male. This means he can control fire, is more powerful in the sun, yadda yadda. Ainsley is from Yin, and she's got more control over water, and calmer spiritual auras.
