Had an awesome day at Sakura Matsuri in Washington D.C. Getting anywhere in speedy fashion was pretty difficult with all the picture requests, but that certainly wasn't a problem; it made the whole experience that much better. I really enjoyed getting to be in so many photos, and didn't have any bad experiences with people. Had been a bit nervous since this wasn't exactly a cosplay convention (A good amount of people who went to the street festival weren't there for anime and the like), and because this was my first outing in a suit. Really couldn't be happier with how it went. Two pictures at the top are in D.C. and the bottom one is at my house (Sunlight was awkward, soz T.T).


This suit isn't exactly finished yet - it's more of a version 1.0. There's much that needs to be done before Otakon, and I learned a lot with how hot it'll get and how to move around in a bird-like manner. The wings and head may be redone, and some work needs to happen on the feet.
