I painted these icons for two of my friends as gifts, to test the waters with more complex colours in SAI. For Haligren and Lauralai of FurAffinity. As well, they serve to give at least some sort of example for the sorts of icons that I may be able to sell when I reopen my commissions later on. Gonna up the contrast a bit for future icons so they're actually discernible when they're small, but they still look nice despite their subtleness!

Both icon are of their respective fursonas. The little kitty with Haligren is her pet, Sana, who never seems to meow the same way twice! Such personality!

I did the Lauralai icon first; I painted it a few months back as a spur-of-the-moment thing for my friend. While Haligren's has been a WIP for much longer than it should, I finally decided to finish it properly now that I've got nothing on my shoulders aside from schoolwork. I love both to death for their own reasons, but Hali's icon is the first thing I've digitally painted seriously in months. First thing that's used more than three colours, anyways. *laugh* Think I'm finally finding my personal voice with SAI's painting tools.
