You speak as if you aren't one ausfer. Doesn't having a fursona making you a furry? I'm not really certain but I figured that was a pretty big step on the way to being one. What exactly is required to make you one?

I consider a furry as someone who is a fan of anthropomorphic animals and that's it. You don't have to dress up as an anthro, or RP as an anthro, or have an fursona to be a furry, just like how you don't have to cosplay or attend cons to be an anime fan.

Aside from the adult art (I just have to face the fact that I've grown accustomed to liking it), my interest in the fandom is pretty minimal. Heck, I don't even consider myself a hardcore fan of dragons, because I'm actually rather apathetic about dragons as a general subject. I'm not interested in clean art of dragons, or reading books about dragons, or pretending to be a dragon... they're just a kink I've developed and they're not much beyond that. In fact, when I first started writing, I wasn't even sure if I should choose dragons as a subject (I was considering pokemon or even making up a creature from scratch), but I went with dragons based on how dragons have a lot of mainstream appeal in the fandom, which would lead to more readers.

So in a broad sense, I don't really consider myself much of a furry, but technically I still apply because lol dragon porn.

Well I wouldn't know anything about technicalities. When I've asked about what specifically makes someone a furry the only answer I ever get is that it's up to each individual person. From a standpoint I imagined having a sona implied a more active involvement.

Yet if liking the dragon porn (and whatnot) would apply towards that outcome I suppose it would apply to me as well though I've never considered myself one.

We have an Identical view on the subject. I too, find anthropomorphic characters interesting, and thats it. No roleplaying BS from me :P
