RW - The Supersoliders
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Everyone has these in their collection, pictures they start but then never finish.
I wanted to draw a picture of all the Super Soliders from Raven Wolf together, as you can see this one did not get very far at all before being trashed.
I always have a really hard time sketching on the computer, I just don't like it all that much, but when it comes to pictures that have lots of characters like this one it's much easier to edit sketches to make sure that everyone is the size they should be as well as move them around so they fill the area of the image just right and not crowed up on one area while bleeding off the page on another.
I wasn't actually doing all that bad, and put a lot of work into paying attention to each individual's body size, muscles and weight (except the legs, I just kinda ignored those for the time being as they would have pants on anyway) unfortunately I just wasn't happy with it and trashed it. (resulting in only 2 of them getting clothes and 1 getting his face and details drawn in)
I still think that this picture would be great finished, but every time I try to work on it I spend 5 mins on it, decide that it sucks, and then attempt to work on something else. I thought that if I posted it online, I might get the motivation I need to finish it up.
For those who are curious and because 4 out or 5 of them don't have their features, characters from left to right are Chase Lockheart (mink) Zack Magellan (skunk) Kane Swartz (tiger) Alistair Quincy (coyote) and Vaan Berights (black cat)

The semi finished characters have nice natural behaviors. I like the hero pose of the tiger. If anything I'd have him put a flat hand on the coyote as in "excuse me that's my gig there", and change the hand attitude of the black cat, he's too statuesque like an egyptian sculpture, hence missing his own personality.
Roght now his body position is not engaged in the event, it is facing away as an independent event/gesture.
If you were to do comics style, the gestures and positions would all be exagerated, to the point the stances are unstable.
