Well, there were reasons you didn't see them until now! The wifi network at the hotel crashed, so my laptop was useless after the first day. My only contact was through the iPad which has 3g. Then there was a fire alarm at four am. Got to stand outside for an hour in my bathrobe and slippers.
We're pretty prepared. Got 25 gallons of water, the generator is gassed and tested, and all the battery stuff is charged up. Pretty much the whole state is closed for the next two days.

Elevators and Wifi probs are tradition at cons. Not the fire alarm tho, that would suck. Suck worse if it were raining. Some numb nut pull the alarm or wazs it a smoker sneaking one? I will be watching the news and thinking of you both.

I've heard a variety of stories; false alarm, tampered fire extinguisher, censor triggered. At least it wasn't too cold or raining.
