A Newcomer, Another Missing Fragment
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
"A new companion arose from the paper, upon receiving a name. He is aware of its origin and potential, rivalling his own. This entity had vivid colours compared to his. The newcomer is a stark opposite of his own nature, however in a relatively pure form of intent. That little collar of directly opposing colour seems to explain it's current behaviour, though. With it's glow, the surroundings manifested vibrant colours never seen before."
The 15 year old colour pencils from childhood have contributed way above their worth. I personally loved the neat and detailed finish of "Thingy" in this piece of work, for something so small. The whole picture has many small details for the audience to explore, relatable to my progress and previous pieces of work. The details were possible due to a recent addition to my toolset, another old mechanical pencil using HB pencil lead.
This piece was a test to my existing skill and technique. Due to the traditional nature of drawing on paper, there were some mistakes that could not be verified when spotted later on. The shading on my character's neck was too deep, and the hues of illumination contrast too much with existing hues on objects in certain places. However, these mistakes already gave the insight for improvement.
The introduction of "Thingy" brought forth all the vibrant colours to the colour palette that represents my art and spirit. Me'Zelf is my positive energy and creativity, while "Thingy" is the opposite. There was a sense of accomplishment when it was finally manifested in this picture, bringing all the colour with it. Due to my beliefs in the triad symbol, there is likely another element already present in this artwork. However, it has not manifested enough to have a significant appearance yet.
Both characters here, Me'Zelf and "Thingy" are owned by me.
