"Chin Up"
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
You sit here, your hands, eyes, and chest cramping along with the pain inside. You feel cold and empty, your eyes red from your overwhelming yet silent weep.
You feel claws poking and grazing the fur of your own paw, followed by a silky soft palm. The paw squeezes, its owner requesting your attention.
You look to your right, looking into the fire-filled amber eyes of her, filled with her own building tears of compassion.
She gives a quiet murr, almost inaudible, almost like the purr of a cat, and the coo of a dove.
"Chin up, friend. All scars hurt, but only for a moment." And with that, she leans forward, lightly bunting her head against yours. Both you and her remain still for what felt like years, but you didn't care; pain was nothing more than a memory now.
[Artist Note] This is where Alikye originated, the story above. I wrote it when I was hurting very badly some time ago, from all sorts of things, the lack of a father especially. Imagining that story always made the pain sting, but after a while, it melted away and never came back.
Today I decided to edit the story to a little universal to anyone, who might need cheering up. I you aren't having the blues, random viewer, well... at least there's the very pretty pic of Alikye from the story.
If no one likes the story, I'll simply replace it with the usual quotation and shorter Artist Note thing.
I just thought this might be something worth doing.
I'm done rambling now
