Boxed In
It was just your average ol' rainy day out in the Piedmont-style forests at the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains in Georgia when I captured this little fellow. This here is your very common eastern box turtle and he uh... appears maybe a little nervous about the sudden appearance of a camera in front of him.I really like the way this shot turned out with the ripples of the water and the reflection of the pool he was perched down in. If there's anything sure about hiking in the woods after a good rain, you are bound to find a small shell-backer or two!
