Totally. Admittedly, bodypaint is an underrepresented form of furry costuming. It can hit on people's tolerance for that "uncanny valley" phenomenon, so I understand.

Oh, and between you and me, your reaction (and even the one from the guy before you) is pretty tame in comparison to the kind of shit that gets back to me from troll (read: *chan) sites. Thanks for your feedback. Process took 2 hours and 15 minutes for the paint aspect. Prosthetic was custom made and took a few more hours to produce (plus an hour or so face casting) with about 15 minutes to glue on.

For once, I can say I did a costume that had alot more help from friends than myself just shopping around and piecing stuff together from shops. Despite that the prosthetic is cold foam (used for my friend's latex fox costumes) rather than a full prossie made with the sparser stuff (like what you get from Woochie prossies), it worked well and help me achieve the affect within my own transformation.

Painting takes effort on its own. So yeah, no way this could be anything but a collaborative as well as commissioned/pieced. :)

No problem. Do you need any drawing references. SoFurry has the brunt of my furry art, including a couple of my leopard fursona. Overall, I have been horrible at getting any inclination to draw myself or commission others to draw my fursona(s).

depends on how my comic goes and if my tabby stays put or whatever. I might abandon the current comic but idk. more humanoid would be easy for me like my icon and ill add furry ears n a tail and sometimes ill draw a full furry haha

I think I like all kinds of costuming but bodypainting is rare in the fandom. Its probably because of all the setup required to do the bodypaint and the fact that many have jobs to go back to after the convention. For me, I was Krystal for 32 days (but the prosthetic comes off as 28 hours) as the kind of paint I use is made to be water and soap proof.
