Crucible Bridge
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
On the northern cliffs of the Reptic Gorge stands a village built for a purpose more vital than most. A deep magic, set in place by its founder, controls the gateway to the lands beyond this gaping scar in the desert. In times of strife the crossing is destroyed to protect the city nation of Reptii from invasion. Named Crucible Bridge as a homage the battles that were once fought on its vast crossing before the Reptilian nation destroyed it for the first time in 7673. The bridge can be instantaneously rebuilt whenever the Crucible Song is performed on the altar of sands, but this also requires a powerful source of magic.
Scale:
The city nation of Reptii is about the size of the united states
(2,000 sq. MI)
Crucible bridge's surface spans about one fifth that area
(400 sq. MI)
The bridge is 40 MI wide, spanning 100 MI across the Reptic gorge from one side to the other.
Crucible song:
Will the crucible bridge
Rise from the sands
And span o'er this canyon
Will the crucible bridge
Rise from the sands
And grant us passage!
With the power of my voice
And our sand pipes
We will now summon
This the crucible bridge
The hidden road
To the southern lands.
