all the schools of magic are expressed by a fundamental shape:
air: a straight line
earth: a right angle
water: an arced line
fire: a circle
warding: pentagram
psychic: has no shape, and thus must be fixed firmly in the mind while casting. it's lack of shape i felt was best reflected by the concentric ripples on a pond.
