Backing Track by Pocket Songs Karaoke and purchased on iTunes. Original song from the musical Chicago.
-----
The Beach Bears consult with their lawyer, and both Dipper and Birch end up feeling ignored.
-----
Ever since I wrote this scene, I can just see it done on a Broadway stage with lights and everything. The scene opens with The Beach Bears and Les sitting at a long table, Dipper and Stargazer on the left, and Les and Birch on the right. Tadd enters from a door in the back of center stage. After the discussion, where Dipper loses his temper, he goes to the apron, on stage left, in darkness. After Birch loses his temper, he goes to the apron on stage right, in darkness. The lights in center stage on the table fade, and a spotlight hits Dipper for his portion of the song. His spotlight goes out, and Birch's comes on when Birch starts his portion of the song. The spot on Dipper comes back up when he joins in on the song. Both spots slowly dim on the instrumental ending, going black on the final note.

You want to be a celebrity, you'd better guess used to having zero privacy and having every little detail of your life picked apart and scrutinized.
If Dipper's estate agreed to settle, people would assume he knows he is guilty, and you would wind up with the bandwagon of copycats. Even though 99% of accusations would be thrown out, it would still be a huge and unnecessary waste of time and money.
I do have to wonder, though, as Dipper's main legal guardian, why was his mother not present?
