Hm… did I say I wanted to show this artwork to you next week…? Guess, I couldn’t wait then. ^_^
Here it is: Reptile and Xevon on the hunt (they’re hunting pheasants, by the way)!

This artwork is somehow a “reboot” of an old comic page, which I’ve drawn back in 1997. Here is a small part of that page where you can see Reptile and Xevon hunting:

Yeah… and today you can watch and enjoy the new version. Kinda tough and unfair to compare it… I drew the other one when I was a young lad.
I still love it. ^_^”

This picture is dedicated to my brother Chris, because he wanted me to accept two challanges:
1) Drawing my characters looking to the RIGHT side for a change and
2) blue, hand drawn sky!

Is this, in any way, inspired by the Elder Scrolls? It sure looks like it.

It is surely NOT! ;-) I've created the scene and characters long before I even know ELDER SCROLLS! In fact, the characters were invented in 1996. I know, there was an ELDER SCROLL title available in that time... part 2, I guess. But I didn't have a PC back then. ^^"

This is all original art and... there is no doubt, that reptile-anthros are NOT invented by myself alone! XD

IN fact: I have watched the LIZARDMEN from WARHAMMER and that's when "Reptile" was born. ^^

Oh. Well, he really looks like an Argonian. Argonians are awesome.

Completely hand done, that is flabbergasting! Very impressive talent, the scales must be a pain to do.
Reading other comments I thought I should mention I was expecting you to say "Exile" the game from spiderweb software started him but I guess WH is more common.

"Flabbergasting" is a word I had to look up! XD Hehehe, yeah, all done by hand on paper. Thanks a bunch, buddy!!
About the scales: I can draw them pretty quick these days. Just a few minutes and you got them! :3
And it was the movie "Dragonheart" (that's why "Xevon" got his looks and fashion from the character "Bowen") and "Warhammer" which caused me to create this universe. ^^

That is a great movie. I use alot of strange old aged words like balderdash and malarkey, comes from reading books from the 60's.

Aw, no I get it! ^_^ Took a while, hehehehe.

Very excellent! You always know how to deliver wonderful art! Though, I must say, it's scenes like this that make me wish we lived in a bit more of a fantasy world!

Yeah, if ya check all my latest stuff... you'll see plenty blue skies and peace and joy! ^^
I am not hippie, nope... but I do feel euphoric and happy. So is my art! :D

Awwwww... well... about this wish: by watching my stuff, you should at least be able to DREAM on! ^^

Do they have a thing like this in Germany??

My holidays are JUST over! -..- It ends tomorrow. Peeew... aw, well.

And YES, we do have medieval feasts in Germany, too! ^__^

We call them "Mittelalterfest" (medieval festival). People dress themselves like shown in the link and since we've got plenty of old castles around, the setting is always believable and stunning! ^^

And we also do a lot of LARP stuff, ya know...! XD

You're lucky! LARP is reserved for professionals way over here--I don't get to take part (much) but that doesn't stop me from pretending I'm going to meet a boss monster in the bowels of a mountain range, somewhere. ^__^ http://sofurry.com/view/372339

Do you attend these festivals regularly? And do they have as an abundance of awesome food? (That's a silly question) XD

Frankly, I've NEVER visited such a festival... though I'd like to. ^_^
Yeah. It's really cool, I think... IF you have the proper fashion and gear.

But do you know which part of the festival I'd like to join most??
It's the feast. The food!!
I love the "medieval style" dinners... ya know... wooden plates... cups made of clay and filled with vine... and finally: huge women carrying an even larger plate, filled with hot meat... pork, of course... warm, steaming bread... and you eat it all by using only FINGERS!!!!! XD
Yum yum yum... this is what I'd love to.

That's AWESOME!!! That sounds like not a whole lot that I've ever experienced before! I mean, big feasts in general are a rarity around here (save for Oktoberfest) and to have one that's all medieval themed would be....mind blowing, to me. XD I'm surprised you've never been to one! Is it because you haven't the costume to attend such an event?
Some day, I will travel to there and take part in a big festival....someday.... ^_____^

Mmmmmmmmm, old fashioned German food is my absolute favorite *drools*

So. Why does he need a bow? He has enough muscle to just hurl the arrow like darts and get the same result. Though by the looks, he either didn't intend to miss, or he may need to start picking up his arrows again.

Would definitly need to kill/ more than one with each if he misses once, sure think he would eat more than just one...

But great looking art as always. Makes me wish I had some artistic skill to draw anything.

I'm not really sure, that REPTILE would be able to hit any pheasant by throwing the arrow... XD He cannot even hit one WITH a bow!! ^_^"
He rather trusts XEVON to shoot em all down. And you're right about ONE thing: he'll eat the most of them laterone! XD

ooooooooooo a very very nice angle on this tells a story even if you dont read the description . both look tottally awesome and i like that the human has some character to his face not photogenic and boring . and the lizard man has a very strong posture to him if i didnt read it i would have though that was a cool digital peice to be honnet with the detail on his scales ^^

Glad you also commented on the human, Xevon, here... most people just look at the Reptilian and don't see the whole picture. Well, that's understandable... but it's not a complete view of the art, anyway. Yes, they both have a very deep connection... like father and son.
And yeah, all hand-made... with pen on paper. NO digital stuff! ^^

thats impressive who of the two is the father figure ? as looking at the lizard with a nice realistic style like yours its hard to define if he is young or old. and to be honest that's a shame as he is a very strong looking character indeed im kinda lucky that people actually take notice of my human characters as i mostly like to draw humans . afterall we are just anthro apes if ya really look at it XD. i generally find human men a lil more apealing to draw ^^ . its harder to give us more unique featires without looking generic and boring. where you see allot of anthro art and like . hay look at my characters :D . and im like ... they are all the same but different fur and hair :I

Well, of course the human, Xevon, is the father figure here. Fact is: REPTILE lost his parents when he was a youngling and had to live in caves ever since. But when he met King Xevon (and saved his life), they both became unusual friends... and they trust each other with their lives.

In this particular scene, REPTILE is still young... like an "almost mature teenager", sorta. XD But since Reptilians can reach the age of 300 years, you can only recognize the REALLY old ones. ^^"

And sure, humans or primates are difficult to draw and to make look "interesting". I personally don't like primates that much, BUT humans are most important for my stories... the CLEAN ones! ^^

indeed a human is hard to make look interisting but seem dudes like me have cracked it ^^ i find it funny when people say i cant draw humans their boring waa waa . i just think . noooo you just havent tried >:I human anatomy is a BASIC fundamental to become a GOOD artist

Agreed. ^^ Sadly, some guys will never learn this basic fact...
