For some people, dressing like a woman is a pivotal and important part of their lives. It's the source of great conflict and self-realization. A number of very good friends of mine are Transgendered and the jump from wearing gender-appropriate clothes into the clothing they feel they should be wearing is a huge, defining experience. It is in no way comedic for them.

I know, I know. I just meaning I don't like art with transgender stuff. After that, crossdressing doesn't bother me.
