The day before Arnold had watched a TV show about a tattoo parlor, and all the pretty designs had inspired the naturally artistic bear. The next day at preschool he couldn’t stop talking about it and offered to draw tattoos on the other cubs.

“What are you doing to Nero? asked Snow when he saw what his friend was doing.

“Drawing tattoo’s. You can be next, I could cover your arm in pictures of socks.”

“Yes please!” Snow replied excitedly

“Of course these aren’t real tattoos, on TV they used a needle to put the color inside you” Arnold casually added, but working on his current customer he didn’t see the excitement drain from the other bear.

“A n..n..needle?” Snow replied

“It was needle pen machine, it went buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, And each buzz was one dot of ink. I tried to count the injections but I ran out of fingers and toes. Maybe there isn’t even enough numbers to count them all”.

Snow looked ill, he stumbled backward a few steps and fell, but luckily landed on the beanbag.

“Snow!” cried Loupy who had been playing nurse nearby. He rushed to help his friend. “Nero go to the naughty corner and get me the paddle, Jazzy help me flip him over then so I can spank him”.

“Why?” asked Jazz while Nero ran off to fetch the paddle.

“So I can say CLEAR! and use the paddle like on TV” Loupy replied while fanning the woozy bear.

Jazz gave the wolf a strange look “That’s not how it works on TV. They use 2 paddles, and they don’t spank them”.

“Well we only have one paddle and that’s the only way I know to use it”, The wolf huffed.
