As the name, outfit and general appearance suggests, yes, this is the "Ferren version" of my Pikasona Ace Spade. Though with a few minor differences; to start Jack is a bit older than Ace (mid to late 40s) whereas Ace as of right now is closer to my ACTUAL current age (early 30s.) As such Jack is a bit more grizzled and jaded than Ace with an "I'm to old for this crap" demeanor. He also has no qualms about killing, unlike Ace. He treats adversaries more like James Bond does; just things in his way to riddle with bullet holes or a good neck-snap while delivering a one-liner worthy of an 80s action movie hero. Part of this is due to his training as a former special-ops/CSIS agent for Canadian intelligence. (Yes Canada does in fact have its own intelligence agency, look it up.)

As for how he became a Ferren, well the story I wrote called "Small World" (which you can read here: https://www.weasyl.com/submissions/unownace?folderid=93997 ) went into detail, but as I meantioned in the David Gray post I might retcon that down the line. But the gist of it is that while trying to break out of a top-secret laboratory (which totally isn't a reference to Area 51 :P) he and David have to team up to survive, but in a shootout Jack gets hit pretty badly, and David knows his new human companion won't last long so in a desperate maneuver uses one of the labs facilities to transfer Jack's consciousness into a blank-minded cloned Ferren body inside a test tube.
