Do do doo do, do doo dooo do do doooo.. I woke up to the familiar, light tune of a game soundtrack; remixed to be slow and jazzy, and appropriate for an alarm. Though, I did so with a rather groggy, tired groan. My eyes opened to see a dimly lit room. The windows were aligned with vivid purple curtains, the faint light of the rising, morning sun shining through. Another day. A school day, at that; I hated school days. Looking at the clock, it was 6:01 AM, a time I dreaded waking up. Oh well. I do what I have to, but thankfully, summer vacation nears. I was more than eager for it. Getting up, slowly but surely, I headed out into the dark hallways and into a pitch black bathroom, closing the door behind me. Flipping the switch next to the doorway, the room lit up in an instant with a bright light. The bathroom was, well, modest. Nothing special, but it was neat and tidy. My blue and white toothbrush was ready, sitting on the counter with an appropriate amount of minty paste on top of it, set up the night beforehand. My foam cup was also beside it, half filled with cold, clean tap water. Time to start my daily routine. I opened my mouth, staring at my teeth in the cabinet mirror. They looked healthy, but could still use a cleaning; especially after last night's dinner. Brush brush brush.. I circled the instrument around my teeth, making sure they were pearly white and sparkly. The toothbrush would also occasionally roam to the deeper parts of my open mouth, brushing against my somewhat sharp canines and cleansing them of bacteria, particles and filth. After repeating the same process for a few minutes, I spit the now foamy paste into the sink, watching it slowly drip into the drain in the center. My hand then reached out, picking up the white cup and bringing it to my soft lips, tipping it a little. My mouth flooded with the refreshing tap water, clearing out the remaining paste that remained in the corners and crevices of my mouth. After putting everything back where it normally was, up next was my most important activity - in my opinion at least - my jet black, messy hair. Thankfully, my hair is usually easy to fix and mold; only requiring a small comb, and water. Once moisturizing my dry hair, I sifted my comb through the strands with gentle, slow strokes, making sure every little bit was neat and combed back. "Looking good." I said to myself in the mirror, along with a cheesy, small little grin. The final part of my morning; my uniform. God, how I hated wearing it. It was uncomfortable, and 100% required in my school. Eh.. I dealt with it, and was fully used it by now after spending years and years with the same old, similar, boring clothing I had always worn to school. Turning off the lights and slipping back into the dark hallway, I found my uniform. It was neatly folded and hanging on the railing, along with my navy blue and grey hoodie, along with the usual white songs. I'm fairly certain those two were the most comfortable of my entire uniform. The socks easily slipped onto my little feet, rather cozy and warm. Next, were the pants; the worst part. It came with a belt, too, but only because I had to wear it! I wouldn't want my hindquarters exposed in class, but I usually didn't wear belts. After slipping my legs in - which was no doubt, really uncomfortable, next came the shirt. It was just as bad as the pants. It came with an ugly, buttoned up collar as well, and didn't feel too good against my skin. And finally, my hoodie.. Ahh, how great it felt to wear it after all the unbearable clothing underneath. My hair had dried by then, and everything was set, besides my shoes. They were a light sky blue, white and black, fitting on my feet just as well as the fuzzy socks. Tying them into a tight knot, I got up and zipped my light hoodie all the way up before picking up my decently heavy back pack. I picked up my large Android cell phone from the couch and shoved it into my pocket; charged to 100% from overnight. I unlocked the front door, careful not to make a noise - everyone else in the house was still fast asleep - and walked out into the porch. By now, it was even brighter, the orange sunlight stretching across the quiet concrete of the sidewalks and streets. Birds had chirped tranquil songs to anyone in range to hear it, the cool spring grass had left a refreshing aroma, and the door had closed behind me. Time to start my school day.
