AskDawnAndVern 2018 Halloween
I wasn't initially going to do a colored thing for Hallween this year, but really...I was so happy with how the desing of Dawn and Vernon's costumes came out on the ask blog, so I kinda felt a desire to do a little color commerative pic to end out the month properly. For those unfamiliar with my weird Zootopia blog, it's an ask blog using a story i wrote called "The Rehabilitation of Dawn Bellwether" as a jumping off point to do little ask strips and so on. At this point I've linked the story in so many pictures it's easier to just tell you to google the name, or check my fiction sections on whatever site this is on. But yeah, it's about Dawn getting paroled and turning her life around and so on.
As for the pic, The obvious joke here is Dawn is dressed as the Beast, as reference to her past. And thus, her mate Vernon is left to dress as Beauty. I originally wanted to base the designs off the old school story rather than disney, but references to art for that are hard to find. So I ended up using the disnet versions and tweaking aspects of them slightly, adjusting them to look a little different based on stuff i like for royal uniforms and so on.
