KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS

“It's been a long trip. Make sure we refuel before we leave. And be careful. Reports on this planet say that the population isn't very friendly to visitors from space."  A young sounding female voice calls over the speakers.

“Yeah, yeah. I read you loud and clear." Came the reply from a middle aged man, standing at the loading bay door. “I will be sure not to be seen. Put the ship in stealth mode and put her down in a remote spot." He paused a moment then adds “Oh, and, Ming Na, lets not make this another Kandaria." The male chuckles softly as he grabbed his weapon from its storing space and attached the sheathed sword to his belt. His body dressed as one would expect a space pirate to look, clad in slightly tattered clothing that looked human in nature. His upper body covered in a sleeveless shit with a bluejean vest over that. His almost human looking pale blue hands covered in fingerless gloves. His lower body a tight pair of black leather pants. A pair of gravity altering boots on his feet.

“Or another Judecca, Tai Wu." The girl replied with a slight giggle in her voice. “So. What's the story on this Earth planet anyway?" The girl sounded curious.

“Well. They where invaded by the Durthrians and Galdixians some years back. Planet barely survived either attack, so they aren't very trusting of any species other then themselves." Tai replied. He lightly rubbed one of his three fingers over the handle of his sword. “Our people came here about a decade ago, but in fear, the planet attacked first."

“I get the whole stealth mode thing now. So a covert snatch and run, and your going alone? Why not take Gorvath with you?" The girl asked quizzically. The male couldn't help but to look up over the large hulking Fletaren, a race of giant beings standing in the range of ten to twenty feet tall. “You may need the muscle to move the fuel."

Tai Wu and his sister where Thedusian, a race of beings similar to humans, but weaker and with a few, quite noticeable differences. His people had white eyes that where as blind as they looked. Thedusians see by sound, and that sight is as keen as a humans own sight. “Nah. The weight of the gravity on this planet will make the big guy too uncomfortable. Something like ten times that of his home planet, before that thing devoured it, anyway." He replied after a moments thought.

There came a long moment of silence before the girl finally replied. “I'm sorry, brother. We will find him and us an new home." There was a sadness in her voice and Tai Wu gripped the hilt of his bode tight in one hand.

“Yes. But first, we refuel and get off this rock before that thing catches up to us." Tai Wu answered after taking a deep breath to calm his nerves. He shift his gaze to the door of the cargo bay as though looking through a window, unable to see past the door, for there was no sound in the vacuums of space. His sister was one of the rare few to have both the sight of a Thedusian, as well as the sight of a Mitojit, a race of warrior monks. “How much longer till we arrive? I'm feeling pent up."

Hefore he could get a reply, a small being scurried across the cargo bay to stop a few feet behind Tai Wu. “Cargo bay's ready ta receive a load, Cap'in." Spoke the creature, which resembled that of a praying mantis.

“Good work Scuttle. Keep an eye out on the ship and keep guard on my sister. While we are down there." Tai Wu smiles as he turns to look over the cargo hold. Four more of these mantis creatures scitter about moving, cleaning, and organizing the current inventory. “And be sure to have the other Bithas secure what supplies we have. Can't afford to ooose any of it now."

Scuttle gave a nod of his head and scurried off to join the others, clicking and buzzing out orders. Tai Wu shives as he turned back towards the cargo bay doors. Those with eye sight would see a small blue marble in the distance with a smaller white marble slowly circling around it. The ship was settled in place as the pilot assessed the safest place to make a landing.

“We are just outside the asteroid belt closest to the planet. I'm picking up a few weak signals, but they are repeat warning messages tell 'aliens to approach with caution." His sister spoke over the coms. “Have they changed their opinions on visitors?"

“No clue. Try sending a notice, asking if we can dock to refuel. Make it clear that we mean the people no harm." Tai Wu shook his head and rubbed his finger and thumb over the bridge of his nose. “Lets hope they will comply. If not, we stick with plan B."

Tai turned and slowly made his way towards the bride. His ship wasn't that big, nor was his ragtag crew. It took little more then five minutes to walk the halls to the cockpit. In the pilot seat sat a small girl that looked almost identical to Tai Wu, except her skin was a soft purple and her eyes an emerald green.

He sat down in the captain's seat and listened as his sister sent out the request of open communication. It wasn't long before they got their reply. “We read you loud and clear, Thedusius Four, you are cleared to land at the location we are sending you." Tai simply chuckles as he looks to his sister. Before he could say anything she answered his request. “That's a roger. Thedusius Four making ready to approach." She turned off the comes and began scanning the location in question as she urged the ship towards the planet.
