HTH Rio Davis Nicholas Kaze Bruno: First Born
Well here is the day at last when me and Rio became parents. Again this is a fan fiction and not canon to HTH.

The Son Born
Now it was just a matter of waiting for him to come. The couple had figured a date but knew better that the baby would have the say in the matter. A lot of the times they would come early. However not this time. The date was actually correct, but not the time. It happened on April 20th and started as any usual day for the couple. "The baby's coming today," Nicholas whispered exactly to Rio. It was only eleven in the morning. He had been up early unable to sleep in due to excitement and nerves.
"I know," the folf replied. She felt the same way. "Can you help me up?" The female was sitting down on the couch.
Nicholas got her up slowly. But the female had hardly taken any steps before feeling the moment the two had been waiting for. "Oh my!" Rio stated quickly.
"Rio?" Nicholas asked.
"My water… it broke. It's time." Without a second thought, her husband grabbed the car keys. While they weren't used as often on the island, they were leant out for things like this. He got his wife in and the two were off. Along the way, he called the friends and family after letting the hospital know. The wedded couple arrived and the doctor was waiting with a wheel chair. A good thing to since the pain really began to hit Rio who was crying from it now.
They got the two in the room and she was placed on the bed. Nicholas grabbed her paws. "Rio you'll be fine; now push!" the doctor ordered.
The folf did so with a cry. "Don't give up now honey!" Nicholas stated looking at her with worry. Her eyes met his telling her husband she knew and wasn't going to. Rio cried again with another painful push.
It felt like eternity to both parents but then at last they heard the doctor. "Just one more; he's almost out." The folf did so with a cry and then felt it was over as their child came out. The doctor caught the kid who took a breath and let out a wail. "He's here…" Nicholas whispered, realizing the moment had come.
Rio looked while panting from the labor process and could see their son still crying while being cleaned off. The umbilical cord was cut. "It's a healthy baby boy," the doctor told the two new parents. The fosky just wiped his eyes while the folf let out a tired smile.
He was handed to her after the female was able to sit up. Nicholas leaned down to look at him. They saw he looked mostly like the male. Both had green eyes so their son had them as well. They noticed the tips of the ears were grey like Rio's as well as the end of the tail. "Oh he's perfect and so beautiful," the new mother whispered, her eyes narrowing with love at the new folfsky meaning he was half folf and half fosky. The new father kissed his wife on the cheek.
"Yes…" Nicholas said softly as their son began to make soft cooing noises. "Our little Jack." He was soon feeding.
They were then told that people had begun to show up. The male didn't want to leave his wife and son and said the family could come in. The mothers, fathers, Farrah, Patrick, Lucas, and Sarah came in first. They looked on at Jack who had his full and was now asleep. The new parents knew it wouldn't be for much longer so they enjoyed this quiet moment from him for now. They would be few and far in between. After the family had gotten their fill of the little one, Bella and Larry came in. The polar bear was now due any day now and quite large. "Oh look at him," the still pregnant female cooed.
"Say Bella, me and Nicholas have been thinking some things over," Rio said, causing her friend to look up. "You're my best friend and well… we want you to be like an aunt to our son."
"You mean that?" Larry asked.
"Yes," Nicholas answered. "I agree with my wife that it'll be good for our son. Plus he'll have a playmate his own age and you Bella and Rio are like family. We'll do the same for your son when he's born if you want us to as well."
"I… yes, thank you," the polar bear whispered. "I accept this and would love if you two did the same for us." Those two then left and some more came in. Then Nicholas and Rio went to their home with Jack.
A few days latter the third couple were at the hospital and she gave birth to their daughter Alexis. This little one had her mother's brown fur but her father's blue eyes and noise. Then Larry and Bella's son was born and he had gotten a mixture of their fur color. Now the real work of parent hood began for the new ones.

You may have seen Jack in my HTH Folder with him grown up along with Alexis. Keep an eye on him. But this is far from over with me and Rio.
