Sitting beside you and humming music into your ear
The moon shimmering in the lake beside us
Your heart is a slow drum for our song
As we stare at the sky
And I smile as you lean against me,
Adding your voice to mine,
My heart a drum for our late night song.
I've always thought poetry was a handful to write, hehe. Not only you have to restrict yourself a only a few words per line, but you have to pay attention to the harmony of the composition. Congratulations on managing to write this ^^.
I can relate. I have a couple of tens of other poems that are in the trash at the moment. :/ So, yes. Poems are hard.
I'm happy to have made this as well - judging by the faves and votes, it looks like it resonated with other people! For that, I'm happy. :3
Thanks for the trails of comments!
