Gray Treefrog

A photo of a male Gray Treefrog (Hyla Versicolor). These are truly amazing frogs that can withstand extreme changes in temperature (they can be frozen solid, then thawed out), change their skin color at will (much like chameleons, though slower), and have an extra set of chromosomes (48 as opposed to 24).

That is a fantastic picture! Treefrogs are awesome. I used to live in MN, saw tons of Gray Treefrogs. Live elsewhere now, and tree frogs are rare, but did have a big fat green one on the window one night lol.

We have a pool (where this was taken) and rain water collects in the cover so we end up having 20-25 treefrogs calling in the pool area at once. They can get incredibly loud, buttheyre amazing.
