The Dying Artists
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
"The Dying Artists"
I think I speak to all artists out there that being an artists is no cake walk. Though some would think just a whisk of the pen and paper is easy, we creative folk are inspired yet downed by hardships at any occassion.
We always try to better ourselves and our crafts as we keep drawing, making each piece stand out among the several billion works of art out there. The art industry is a competitive venture where you have to up your game or be disregarded as the short end of the longer sticks in the draw. You try to express yourself and create works of art, only to be shunned and criticized by some people and be given poor reception on the piece you dedicated hours to. And if ever you make an audience, a part of it also has ill-intentions. Although we artists are sometimes open to request, some of these people demand special attention, influencers who think they are entitled to be given free art at a moment's notice. Commissions are also hard to come by, either needing to be discounted or be sold to the lowest bitter price just so your services is accepted. And within that price is the high demand on you to give out the best you can. Every piece matters to an artist, and flops are not acceptable. This is the "art industry". This is the reality of it all.
Yet despite my many attempts to quit entirely, this is my "passion" and "addiction" that I cannot just quit on. Even if I spiral into depression and despair because of it, I live to express myself through my art. I know, I seem dramatic, but I am still human to feel real human emotions when you have to think about paying household bills, your everyday expenses and the fact that my profession still requires more training and funds so I could have a paying job. It's all hard. I fall into tears from time to time, but I try to keep a smile. I hope you guys understand.
Do so give artists respect and proper treatment. We also strive in each and every day. We also have live to deal with. I am sorry if I offended anyone. I don't mean to. I just... want to vent out this feeling. Sorry...
