Dive In
Despite the fact that New Atlantis exists as a massive archipelago in the middle of the ocean, deep sea research expeditions are relatively new compared to those held on the mainland, primarily due to the fact recent tectonic activity has only now revealed some interesting scans that indicate evidence of Old World tech reawakening far below the surface. Luckily, researchers are already well-equipped, thanks to protective runes, so it only took a couple months to develop the rest of the required gear. Rebreather mask, reinforced goggles, earpieces to help equalize pressure and act as radio receivers, and of course, flippers. Everything else (data pads, etc.) are rugged enough for the crushing, cold depths already, so here we are: Azura and Neon are diving down to where the mesopelagic zone begins, about 600 feet underwater. It's mainly a preliminary expedition to stake the site and gather data for a larger team to analyze for further expeditions, but as a scout, Azura loves nothing more than to be the first to make exciting new discoveries. It... won't go as planned, as usual. As the old saying goes among scouts: "Things always go awry."
