Chapter 85: Inimical 

“What have you done hybrid?!" The silverback shouted at his fellow warrior.

“What was necessary." The half human/half tiger said as Ruth Ann and Bo continued to embrace.

(I admit that I did not see that coming.)

The betrayal was beyond shocking.

“You will release that woman NOW OTHER!" Ananias shouted drawing his scythes.

“Sh, the old lovers are having a moment." The harpy said turning her attention to him.

“Demona you seem well." I said aiming my weapon at her.

“You are surprised that we survived."

“Very, the last time I saw you... you got sucked inside a sky ship."

“Still here little man."

“We will see what we can do about that momentarily witch!!!" The grey gorilla said beating his chest fiercely.

“Witch?!"

“GRRRROAR!!!!" Ananias said charging.

“Ananias no!!" I shouted pushing him back. “All she has to do is touch you and you will be just another friend I lost!"

“Listen to him tall grey and handsome." The she monster said landing in front of me. “Alex Winter."

“Demona." I said acknowledging her. 

“Tauren, Lurie, Lea and Eon forgive you for that stunt of yours that you pulled no matter how futile. They want you to come back into the fold soon. We do too."

“I am not coming back Demona." I said as Ananias growled behind me.

“Perhaps the silverback then, he would make a fine addition to our ranks."

“And your head would look fine on my blade creature!"

“Ananias don't! All she has to do is sprinkle a feather on your fur and you will be her personal screw toy for all eternity." I warned him.

“Eww…." The gorilla said recoiling. “And you know that how boy?"

“Um, that doesn't matter!" I blushed. "Don't make contact with her!!!"

“That we would enjoy. We- would revel in stripping your independence, freedom and individuality from that beautiful body molecule by molecule until you are ours mind, body and soul." The she harpy said displaying her teeth.

“Alex, I appreciate your concern for my safety. But it is unnecessary and unwarranted. Secure the traitor." He said pushing me aside.

*BUMP*

I have known a few gorillas in my time on this world Lady Keiko and her sister Kala included. Judging by Ananias' demeanor and stance, he was about to go ape shit. 

“Demona." Zhade said quietly warning her. 

“Thank you for reuniting us hybrid. We will remember this kind act." The old man in the blue overalls said.

“Zhade you are coming with me." I said aiming my grappling hook. I then fired. The spear tip pierced his left shoulder.

“GAH!!!" He shouted before being pulled toward me. You know what happened next. I laid the anarchist and traitor right on the ground before he could react.

“Ruth Ann!!" I shouted at the old woman.

“Alex thank you for your kindness, hospitality and friendship. Tell Kenna that we love her and that we are very sorry." The old woman said holding her husband's hand. 

My attention was redirected from the traitor and the elderly couple to the gorilla who attacked my former colleague.

*GOUGE*

*SLICE* 

“AWK!!!" 

There was blood and feathers everywhere.

“Doesn't look like you will be using that wing for a while... If ever." The gorilla said spinning one of his scythes like it was a baton.

“That is a bad one." Bo said looking at the she monster's left wing. “We should leave Demona."

Hearing that the harpy whistled loudly. 

*WHOSH*

She was joined by two more of her kind. The first, a all white harpy grabbed Bo and Ruth Ann, the second a grey harpy grabbed her lifting all of them into the sky.

(Wow, she had friends.)

“We will meet again little man, gorilla… perhaps sooner than you think." Demona said as she was carried off.

“I look forward to it witch, I would like to slice off both wings next!" The silverback shouted.

“Alex? Alex! Focus!" Arugula shouted at me.

“Huh, what?" I asked.

“You weren't having another one of your episodes were you?" The springhare asked me.

“No, just remembering what happened yesterday." I replied.

Day 187 (8 PM the training grounds near the central building)

“You know this is the most I have heard you say in any one setting." I quipped back to my training partner.

“Enough. You know we are on high alert ever since we lost Ruth Ann."

“Yeah, I know, the leadership wants everyone training even non-warriors." I said holding up the tip of my grappling hook as the she ninja came in with a fierce slash with her short sword.

“Surprise the city is in danger." Corey Collins shouted as he blocked a mock attack with his crossbow from Gahri's spear. “That is starting to be a theme around here."

“This time it is much worse boy." Ananias said locking paws with Rumble. “We run the risk of sharing the Grand Kingdom's fate."

“...won't let that happen monkey…" The were-creature rumbled.

“I don't know mutt, after what I saw yesterday, I would be a fool to say that I am not worried." The silverback gorilla said candidly.

“Nice form Tori." T'hoka said to the mute sergal as his sword and her club made contact.

Tori nodded at him acknowledging the compliment.

“Hold your boomerang high when blocking Corbin." The female red deer said making a slashing motion with a wooden sword.

“Yes miss Tanya." My little brother said locking his stance.

“Good session everyone." My mistress' stand in said to her fellow warriors. “But in the coming battle we won't win if it is close quarters combat, those that have not encountered Others should best fight at a distance. Only those that the entity rejected or have successfully rejected the entity should fight hand to hand if that is possible."

“That is only Alex, Lady Ursa, Gahri and Zhade." Little Corey said watching from the sidelines.

“Zhade won't be returning to our ranks anytime soon." T'hoka said blocking a attack from Tori.

“That traitor deserves what is coming to him." Mia added as Lolly barked.

“Mia what has gotten into you?" Dianna said to her adopted daughter.

“The same thing that has gotten into all of us Ms. Wild." Tanya said. 

“We are entering into a fight for our survival and I think non-warriors will be called to assist as well." T'hoka added receiving gasps from those that had come to watch.

“It will most likely happen when the forces of darkness breach one of the mazes turning our defenders guarding it from non-believers into believers. They will in turn enter the city overwhelming us all until only Alex, Ursa, Ghari and Zhade are left." The female barbarian said.

At that moment those sparing stopped and gave their full attention to the red deer as did the small crowd of spectators who were watching the training.

“Oh my." The she centaur said looking at her children.

“That is how the Grand Kingdom fell." The black haired teen said.

“Or it need not be that sophisticated. Just convert one of us and let the infection spread." Tanya said looking at Tori.

“If that scenario plays out all will be singing the praises of the conquer of worlds within a day or so." Ananias said.

“As of this moment no one is to be without a weapon to defend themselves." A red naga said slithering up holding a black whip. She was joined by our resident yeti.

“Ms. Una how um, kinky." Corey said.

“Not now Mr. Collins. Our leaders have ordered all of us to protect ourselves. If you don't have a weapon find one. If you have one master it." Ms Una replied.

“But what can we use?" Dianna said thinking out loud.

“Well you do have a powerful kick momma." Little Corey said.

“How far are we going to go to defend ourselves?" I asked. “The rebellion in World Four has no compunction with killing their enemies. What about us?"

“Spit it out boy." The grey gorilla ordered.

“What if the attacker is Ruth Ann or Bo?" I asked as I received stares of disbelief from Melinda, Milton, Dianna, Mia, Corbin and even Lolly.

“Then we will do what is necessary to defend our colony, our community, our homes and our family." Gahri said.

In that moment our clueless crocodile warrior did not seem so clueless.

The training session disbanded as the lost city's warriors left for their assigned positions that evening. Per Lady Barq's orders two guards were to be located at the maze's exits and two left inside the city for patrol. The new security structure left our warriors otherwise very occupied.

Later that evening….

*Recognized Alex Winter Medic The Lost City*

*Recognized Corbin Mongoose Junior Archeologist The Lost City.*

*Recognized Shakara Kubari Healer The Lost City.*

“Wait, shouldn't it be emergency authorization Alex Winter, the Lost City? Why the change?" The little mongoose boy asked.

*Claudius changed some parameters while on the last mission.*

“He did what?" My lioness with the big ta-tas asked.

“He was running ops while Lady Ursa and I were exploring the Diamond City. I think he got a little bored." I said sheepishly. 

“Does command know about the modifications?" Corbin asked.

*I provided them with a complete list. Lady Barq, Lady Ursa and Commander Rhinox are still in the process of analyzing it.*

“In the process because they have otherwise been very preoccupied." The dark tan lioness acknowledged.

“For obvious reasons Shakara." The little boy said.

“Alright everyone ready?" I asked looking around.

I was still dressed in a white shirt and tan pants from sparring practice earlier. My devious person was wearing a self made skirt and Corbin was wearing shorts and a grey shirt. Very comfortable clothing because we knew that we were going to be spying for quite a while.

My lioness and little brother nodded. 

“What we are about to do did not happen and no one is to speak about this outside of here."

My two co-conspirators nodded.

“Very well, Overwatch pull up the footage from the microprobe that was planted inside the holding house."

*Acknowledged Mr. Winter.* 

“Start playback at the beginning of the interrogation earlier today." I ordered the automated assistant.

The three of us watched as a Bear, Badger and Rhino entered through the front door of the stone house, now a makeshift prison to confront the half human/half tiger tied to the chair in the home's kitchen.

“Do you know why you are here Zhade?" My brown bear asked.

“Let me guess it is not because of my winning personality?" The former warrior said.

“You abandoned your post, betrayed those under your protection, consorted with the enemy and doomed this colony." The badger warrior said trying to control her outrage.

“You were added to this colony's roster of warriors, trained and tested. We trusted you only to have this happen. What do you have to say for yourself son?" Rombolt said staring him down.

“You want me to justify my actions?" The half human/half beastial said.

“WHY DID YOU TURN AGAINST YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND THIS COMMUNITY?!!!" Lady Barq shouted.

“If you must know, we were doomed from the start by the incompetent leadership here."

“Explain." My pregnant she beast said trying to tamp down her own anger and outrage.

“You three are so occupied with the big picture- you miss the day to day going on right underneath your noses. Wake up there! There is suffering here!"

“We are trying to ensure our survival boy." Lady Barq said cutting her eyes.

“In case you didn't know, the enemy has changed its tactics and increased in size." The rhino said.

“There, right there you made an error. You are referring to the entity and the walkers. Surprise we have more than ONE, what about the KLIS, the night and day creatures running around and now entity worshipers and rejects?"

“Zhade entity worshipers and rejects are a phenomenon unique only to World Two." Lady Ursa said.

“Wrong! They are also present in World Five and I would suspect there are some here in the colony hoping to receive the good news and trade their individuality so that they could live like those in World One, excuse me, I mean World ONE."

The hybrid's comments generated a fair amount of shock, surprise and discussion amongst the lost city's leadership. 

“Let me guess, you had no idea. Just like you didn't know that there is a clothing shortage or that a member of our family was dying."

“Dying? We have not received any information from our healers Zhade." Lady Ursa said.

“Who?" The badger warrior asked.

“Ruth Ann. Realizing that her soul mate was still alive elated her. Until she found out that he had been acquired by the enemy and for all intents and purposes he was 'inaccessible.' It was like he had died only he hadn't."

“You are saying it was taking a toll on her?" The rhino warrior added.

“You have no idea! I have been seeing Kenna for some things I have been working through. Every time I was at their home I saw Ruth Ann crying. Do you know her and Bo had been together for over fifty years?"

“Well…" Rombolt stated.

“Of course you didn't their marriage started before the empire and lasted longer than the empire too; being apart from him was killing her."

“And so you took it upon yourself to reunite her with her mate." My perfect person said. “Your selfless act has doomed us all Zhade! Ruth Ann's knowledge and experience are part of their collective now."

“In other words what she knows, is now what the walkers all know." Lady Barq said berating the anarchist.

“They were coming for us anyway." The hybrid growled.

“Zhade what was the deal? What did the entity offer you in return for this betrayal?" Commander Rhinox asked.

“Was it a comfortable room at the Grand Kingdom?" My bear asked.

“No." The half human/half tiger replied.

“What about the Diamond City?" The badger warrior asked.

“No." The hybrid replied again.

“Then what was it?" The rhino asked.

“Leniency." Zhade said grinning. “And mercy."

“What do you mean?" My bear knight said asking.

“The synoptic will not annihilate the Lost City in one fell swoop like it did the Grand Kingdom instead it will be a little at a time until we are no more. Those here will be integrated into the forthcoming cities it is building."

I looked at Corbin and Shakara in disbelief. Our colony's days were numbered.

“We appreciate you being honest. But let's make sure that you ARE being honest." The commander said drawing his service weapon he adjusted the setting to the truth ray and fired at the traitor.

“Wait, do I not have some beast to speak for me?"

“NO." The leadership of our colony said.

*He has been spitting up and vomiting the truth for the last few hours.* 

“His admission from before Overwatch...." Corbin asked.

*He has not deviated from it once apart from berating our leadership for their incompetence.* The automated assistant answered the little boy.

“So it's over." Shakara gasped.

“I… I can't believe it." The little mongoose said.

“We will wait to hear from our leaders first. Until then not a word of this to anyone about the information we saw or how we obtained it." I warned my lover and my little brother.

“Overwatch suspend playback and save." The little mongoose boy said. “I think I am going to visit Yogi."

“Why is that adorably cute?" My lioness asked as she exited the prototype.

“His roommate won't be returning home for quite some time."

*It would seem Mr. Mongoose.*

Lady Ursa had not returned home by the time Shakara and I decided to settle in for the night either.

I removed my clothing and my undergarments as is customary in our she beast's chambers.

“My those are starting to look ragged." The horny lioness said.

“Um hmm. That is happening across the colony. We could use a general store or at least someone to design and make clothing." I said watching Shakara disrobe.

There was that beautiful feline form I have come to appreciate, the dark tan fur, and the big ta-tas weren't bad either.

“How are you holding up little cutie?" She said crawling seductively toward me.

“Horrible. It is not just me, but everything we built the last seven months is collapsing around us because of an unstoppable enemy."

“If it is any consolation no one has been able to defeat the synoptic." Shakara said crawling on top of me.

“Yeah, I know. During the last three years I have run across extraterrestrials fleeing from it, some were even hiding out on Counter Earth. I mean even with their advanced tech they couldn't defeat the conqueror of worlds."

“That doesn't bode well for any of us." My lioness said nuzzling my face. “I wonder if I will like being an Other?"

“Shakara, that is not funny!"

“I am not joking. From what you and Ursa said Diamond City is a virtual paradise." My devious person said. Those red eyes of hers fixated on me.

“Yeah but the price is too high." I said embracing my she beast. 

“Is it though little cutie? I mean for paradise?" She murred. “No evil or crime for that matter. No places that are unsafe to visit."

“That will be your soul Ms. Kubari." I said imitating the synoptic. “I will let you live in my paradise for the rest of your mortal existence but I get to control you and drive your body when I want, where I want. I will power you down or up when I feel like it and oh I may need you to die for me if my mysterious nebulous master plan calls for it." 

“When you put it that way that sounds downright scary little cutie." 

“That was a glimpse of my life the last three months, I never really figured out what its master plan was though. Regardless I want you to keep your body my love." I said kissing her cheek.

“But it wouldn't hurt to share it with those whom I care about from time to time she said licking her chops. Now where is my warm happy?"

The horny lioness made love to me and received her reward in return. She rested her head on my chest as we drifted off into sleep without our bear.

“Did you miss us Alex?" A nude tan young lioness with green eyes asked sinisterly as she peered into the doorway of Lady Ursa's chambers.

“Lea what are you doing here?"

“We are the harbinger of our master's will."

(OH NO!!!)

“Nice colony you have here. It was quite a chore to find before the old woman joined us." 

I looked at the lioness who was lying by my side.

“Shakara! Get up."

“Zort! What is wrong little cutie?" She asked stirring.

“The end."

“Oh don't be so overly dramatic Alex it is only the beginning." Lea said entering the room.

“Shakara stay behind me and whatever you do don't let her touch you!"

“So this is the Other lioness in your life little cutie?"

“We were close friends until she was acquired."

“Aw, but we liked being acquired. Our life has been fabulous ever since! We would like to extend that to you too." Lea said dropping to all fours approaching our sleeping bundle. “So this is the second lioness you tried to hide from us?"

“Lea please… don't!!" I shouted putting myself in between her and Shakara.

“Too late we already have." The sexy lioness said grinning darkly.

“Alex something is happening to me!!!" Shakara said as her fur was bristling.

“Welcome sister."

“Please we don't want this!!!" Shakara screamed as her transformation commenced.

“It is not that bad." My former healer said to her new gal pal. “The master's introductory offer is quite generous for new believers. See for yourself."

“Little cutie… Alex… NNGH!!!!" Shakara moaned, and moaned.

“What did you do to her?" I asked as my devious person moaned, and gyrated and gyrated.

“Come again?" I asked dumbfounded at Lea stood up from me and walked toward the far wall. Shakara did the same standing right beside her.

“They are of the same species but strikingly different, especially the eye color- which do you prefer red eyes or green eyes?"

“I never thought about it."

“Tan fur or dark tan fur?"

“They are equally nice."

“Large ears or shorter?"

“They look equally fun to nibble on." I said looking at Shakara and Lea.

(Wait did I say that?)

“What about personality brilliant, but ditzy or mischievous and devious?" I noticed that Shakara and Lea smiled while their master made that comparison.

“Good question they both have their benefits."

“Youth and inexperience or age and experience? The older female has ten years on the younger female."

The entity watched as I fumbled with that question.

“We will come back to that. What about chest size? Moderate and athletic or BIG and jiggly?"

“YES." I murred as my manhood came to life. Lea and Shakara moved to the side to allow me to get up from the sleeping bundle. I walked out of the bedroom through the kitchen and to the front door of the home. I then opened it to see everyone from the lost city standing outside staring right back at me. The goofy smiles and dopey stares on their faces. It was all over. We had lost and been consumed by the darkness engulfing the planet. My master let me keep Shakara, Lady Ursa and added Lea but the resistance, the struggle was over.

The two lionesses joined me at the door to our home their cub tunnels leaking with my semen. I realized I like them, was standing there in the nude as both grabbed my ass. Not that I minded though.

“This place will be an adjunct to the Crystal City as we spread the good word to the rest of Counter Earth little slave. Soon all will be believers."

I said shooting straight up. I looked to my right Shakara was lying at my side. I looked to my left to see Lady Ursa.

“Pet everything alright?"

“No- I think I just had another of my alternate reality/alternate life visions."

“Where did it take place pet?"

“Here."

“What was it about Alex?"

“The end."
