Hazard: Endless Training
GIFT ARTWORK for my good friend Marcus (aka "Drakon-Fireblade" at DA or "Veyoun" at FA)
[i]This artwork shows "Hazard", training hard to become a member of the royal guard led by "Shining Armor". No matter the cost... and no matter the weather, he will never stop training... and one day, he'll reach his goal.[/i]
MEDIA USED:
Pencils, coloured pencils, markers, acrylics and brush (no digital stuff... except some work at the shadings after scanning the paper)
SIZE:
DIN A3 (30x40 cm)
WORKING TIME:
about 20 hours...
NOTES:
* This character is the anthro version of the "Hazard" pony last seen in the fictional "MLP" universe. It wasn't easy to translate a "cute pony" design into a more or less realistic anthro.

** The head design was inspired by Chris Sawyer's horse drawings.
*** Oh... and this is my very FIRST "horse anthro", I suppose! ^^
**** This is also the first time that I tried a "raining night" setting. Yes, I know... the background is too bluish and too colourful. It should be grey and dark, but this is just freedom of expression! ^^" I like the rain drops and moving water drops.

Did I say schwarz? XD Too much time reading German wiring diagrams at work. Yes, it is good, but I like how you got the blue to be so vibrant. And it's brilliant how you made a black character stand out against a black-heavy background.
That reminds me, for some reason. I haven't been to your ste in a while. Any new Reptile advemtures? (goes to find out)
I drew this with my hands... and pencils, markers and acrylics on paper. That's what I mean with "traditional drawing": NO digital media has been used. It's all done by hands and it's now safe and happy in a glass frame at my friend's wall.
