It was a great time for him to ask for this, because I've been playing Skyrim and hanging out in the coldest regions I can, so I was totally game for painting some snow, haha. At first I was gonna do him laying down in the snow with the rifle, having something scoped. But it wasn't reading well, the wings were kind of confusing and the gun was really the only thing that really visually read okay. So I went for something more casual and I think it was a better choice in the end for an interesting image. I took notes from about five different tactical gear set ups I found online from different military groups, tried to make it interesting.
